Nothing to see here...Cough.

The guy couldn't even bother to teleport, pretend to be someone else and wipe them. He literally had 0 reasons to stand there when he can teleport fine. Also, not like there are no people who would be against this fucked up policy and hunt hunters.

Well, I have like 5 different ideas what Levi could have done without crossing the border and without killing those soldiers. Even killing the soldiers would have been an option. Who is gonna accuse if there are not witnesses. Weak display overall.

AeonReign

That was terrible, what the hell? Character development? Gone, he showed zero resolution to be a hero. All of that angst could've been done under the mental acceleration we know he has, so every single death here was a waste, even if the angst was believable and in character. Finally, the angst isn't even believable. He risked similar fallout saving Volkov; the succession conflicts over the region will kill many. So we know he's willing to do the right thing despite possible poor outcomes. Even then though, how many refugees have died trying to run? Probably more than would die in an actual war, here, especially with Levi being capable of bringing a relatively quick resolution to such a war. So even on "greater good" morality, the angst is debatable at best.

I am not one to think negatively of a chapter but this feels a bit silly. We all know he can teleport why do they need to seek a alternative way in? The killing of the refugees seems to be artificial to prompt Levi into action but it seems so pointless considering the teleporting. Love your work but this is a bit rough

Levi could do like 20 things to kill them without revealing himself. Heck for all I know he could teleport/conjure tiny sever and cleave's right next to thier brain stems. Or conjure an illusion that fights for him. Body pupet one of the mages that die in this encounter and fight as them. Teleport the victims away inside the border without stepping over the line himself etc etc

Not good chapter. It was established earlier Levi is a hero. Why would he watch innocent people get cut down?

Kbzzy

Just standing there watching civilians die feels terribly out of character for Levi

Afrisan

I’d redo this chapter honestly, don’t! It’ll start a war is a really lame reason to watch people cut down.

Wow, I have not seen a chapter being roasted so hard that the author removes it. I look forward to when it gets here. Sometimes the soup needs more cooking. I write this to say we all have off days. And I am looking forward to when you get the chapter formed. I have been impressed with the creativity with the way this story is written balancing the OP Archmage, time looping, and system tropes/themes.

The unfortunate problem with having a character this powerful in a story is that the distance between point A and B are what usually make the story. However because the MC is so powerful he can circumvent that distance and therefore you have no story. Its incredibly hard to write with an OP mc and you've done a fantastic job of writing/story telling so far.

Ryan Oakes

The MC is so powerful he can do whatever he wants. Its difficult to make common issues seem less than trivial. He could just end the Civil War and bring peace to the lands singlehandedly. Just pick which warlord he likes best. Or none at all. He can do whatever he likes.

AeonReign

I apologize for opening my criticism so aggressively, that was unnecessary. I crashed out because I perceived the chapter to fall far short of the high quality you've proven I should expect. You've written a good story; I hope it's obvious that you should be *proud* of how many people are invested enough to tear into it when a chapter feels off.

Euterpe

LMAO you're good mate, I appreciate it
