Yall completely glossed over Ab-soul especially his older music. He's the reason Kendrick thinks so deeply on this stuff. They used to compete with each other. Problem with Ab-soul is sometimes his thoughts get so far out there it was like watching a guy with multiple personalities trying to piece himself back together. This album of so-called throwaways is great. Fantastic rapping and complex messages. Untitled 01 is a standout, though I do love the bass and jazz heavy opening to Untitled 05 and the P-Funkish Untitled 08.

JID showcased social commentary ability on Skegee, he for me is the closest to Kendrick in this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6RlzkWY2o4&ab_channel=JID Untitled Unmastered taught me the difference between best and favourite, I think TPAB is Kendrick's best, but this is my favourite. The fact you have songs lying around that are of this quality is the biggest flex I've ever known in Hip-Hop.
