Count Bass D’s “Dwight Spitz” is an unbelievable album. Y’all should seriously check out some of his stuff. I don’t think there’s a Count Bass D reaction on the whole internet that isn’t Potholderz, and that’s a real shame.

DOOOOOOM MF DOOM = Metal Face when rapping MF DOOM = Metal Fingers when producing MM..FOOD is an anagram of MF DOOM The "skits" involve a lot of old cartoons and stuff based on comic books because Doctor Doom is the Spiderman villain that his character is based on. And there was so much mystery around the character. Like who was Mr Fantastik, who was MF DOOM? Early on after his initial success with Operation Doomsday DOOM would have imposters show up to perform at shows

DOOM has a lot of different personas as well: MADVILLIAN, Viktor Vaughn, King Geedorah, etc. and he released albums under those aliases as well so there's a lot of great music to check out by him. Almost like he wasn't satisfied with his competition so he created his own!

I came down to say the same thing about the album name. That shit is a bar itself lmao. M.F. DOOM = MM.. FOOD. Even explaining why there are only 2 dots instead of 3 like you'd normally have for an ellipsis. The man was a wonder in terms of how he thought. The rhyme schemes, the flips, everything.

MF DOOM's entire story is pretty tragic. He was an artist before in a group with his brother in New York, but then his brother got hit by a car and died. The label shelved their album. He disappeared and wound up living on the streets in New York and found his way down to Atlanta where he started going on stage at open mic nights wearing pantyhose on his head. He saw the industry as screwing him over and believed he was outcast. He took up the name and visuals to basically become rap's villain. He essentially did take on the whole Dr. Doom persona to pay homage, but also to represent him and his perceived place in the industry. That's some basics on the story, if anyone else wants to specify or correct something leave a reply or something. The man is a legend. Edit: he also has a weird thing in common with 21 Savage, trouble with US immigration. He came over with his parents as an infant and when coming off tour in Europe he was denied coming back to the US because of an out of date visa. That's why he lived his last years in Europe and died there.

Loved the reaction, for thought, another rapper in his own insane lane and style of “art rapping” is Billy Woods.. Hiding Places is still I think his best work for themes, rhymes, and just all around interesting material literally such a great body of work… Would be dope to see yall check that out one of these days

Yesss Prince, this album is where I got my name from, one of my favourite beats from one of my favourite albums from one of my favourite artists of all time lol. Yeah man DOOM inspired a lot of rappers that I hold in a high regard in this particular lane, the Roc Marci, Earl Sweatshirt, Billy Woods, JPEG, Danny Brown, Mach-Hommy's of the world. Hopefully we get a reaction to Born Like This by DOOM in the future some day 💪🏽🙏🏽 Really enjoyed the reaction and I'm glad y'all get to enjoy the greatness of DOOM.
