Drogas wave after Nas is only proper

Rudra

I just started listening to this on my own, what a coincidence

Mount Halo

Am I tripping or is this in Dolby atmos lol. I’m turning my head and the shit adjusting with me. Have I been living under a rock?

Benjamin Kline

I just picked this album up not even a week ago haha

Mount Halo

“How I smoke so much lye, I saw dead birds flying thru a broken sky” nas different

Key

It was written

TJ

On Rewind Nas says in the beginning “Dog, whatever they call you God just listen” He started the scheme in the first couple lines before he even got into spitting the story backwards…..🔥🔥🔥

Milton Stephenson Jr

I didn't realize y'all deleted the footage for Braveheart Party 😆

TJ

After listening to this album for the millionth time…. I’m blessed to hear this man rap for 30 plus years…..

Leon K

You need to look into the deleted section of the second verse on You’re Da Man, Nas exposing some sick stuff that supposedly goes on in the industry

I_Phil_U

When Nas dropped this, he was back. Also, remember this is early 2000 and east coast is putting out hard shit, Nas had to remind people he really from QB and he’s nasty Nas for a reason

VibeVilla

Will definitely check that out, good shout

bugbait

yall need to check out All Balls Don't Bounce - Aceyalone or Vaudeville Villain - Viktor Vaughn

Rudra

Need that best storytellers video, off the top of my head I think Nas, Eminem, Kendrick, Slick Rick, Lupe, Joe Budden, Biggie, and 2pac would be good for consideration

Squish Wright

Go 3 for 3 with nas and do it was written

Rudra

So I actually like the production of this album, I think there's other albums where that would be a more valid criticism, but I think the bigger issue than the beats he picks are some of the hooks he did

enzo

Idk why I never listened to Ether before this video, I've heard it referenced so many times. This must be how Prince feels like with movies/tv shows.

Rudra

I love this album so much, and can you imagine dropping this album in the middle of a beef with jay and a lot of your own crew? I think What Goes Around and Destroy and Rebuild are 2 of my favorite songs Also I think on the joe budden pod they one time were joking about how when this came out there was a guy named Ike who just bought an Iverson jersey hearing this mad as hell

enzo

This might be a reach, but at 15:40 you guys talk about how the title "Ether" matches the definition. But I think the definition of Ether you're referring to literally only exists BECAUSE of this song. From wiki: "Shortly after Nas released the song, the word "ether" entered the hip hop lexicon as a slang expression, meaning to ruthlessly humiliate an opponent." The song matches the current definition so well because the song IS the definition.

Jo Bros

Let’s go! 🔥

Don’t listen to The Lost Tapes & it was written. Y’all have to save those for the channel

DW

Nas - Untitled aka Nikka album is a must. So underrated

Ruben Reyes

Based on this reaction, I think The Lost Tapes would be right up there with your favorite Nas albums. You should add that one to one of the polls for sure.

Dennis Carlson

He is talking about cormega who is another QB legend. He was on the firm briefly and had some dope projects. Cormega responded with a song “love in love out” you should check it out. Also they got on a song recently and squashed the “beef”

Anthony Barrett

Imagine being there for this and then contrast it with Jay Z talking bout “oh you tryna kick knowledge? FOH” and you’ll see why it was so disrespectful and why Nas fans always have a certain disdain for Jay til this day. We love him for what he does but tryna shit on Nas and what he does is shameful

Brand X

You have lived more life and gained perspective. This gives you a different lens when hearing it now.

Popularunknown

The chorus in My Country isn’t a random melody. It interpolates america’s, My Country Tis Of Thee, which, in my opinion, completes the song. If you listen to the lyrics of it, it brings this all full circle. America stole the melody tho, of course.

Tony

Please Ya’ll have to react to Nas “The Lost Tapes” 2002 the Gems on that album is unmatched… Stillmatic is such a classic album to me I have so many memories when this first came out wow … also ya’ll have to dig in to 96 Nas “It Was Written” 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Tony

Facts that’s what I’m saying The Lost Tapes definitely needs to get an reaction

Tony

🔥🔥🔥🔥

Tony

Songs that was supposed to be on this album but ended up being on “The Lost Tapes” Album which ya’ll have to check out … are Black Zombie Nothing Lasts Forever Purple No Idea’s Original My Way And the Unreleased Original Version of “Stay Chisel” which didn’t make none of the albums And on the beginning of second verse of “You’re Da Man” some deep lyrics were cut out .. You guys could find it on YT

Nii-Amo Cofie

“My Destiny found me”. Destiny is the name of his daughter

Stefan

@ 1:01:19 "Put this in a museum". They actually did this in the national museum of antiquities here in The Netherlands. There was a showcase on how ancient Egyptian culture influenced modern culture, mainly Jazz, Blues, Hip Hop and Kemetism. This song was playing with the video (along with others like Sun-Ra) while the Gold life-size pharoah Nas bust from the I AM cover stood there right between the real artifacts from ancient Egypt. So yeah, this song quite literally belongs in a Museum.
