Shane Everhart

Christian Sandoval

Yeaaaa been waiting for you boys to drop as much as the album

Elyn Barker

Features were hidden first two days

Tim C.

Let’s goo WE HERE

PhiLDaReaL

Damn I wish ya would’ve heard it wit no features listed

AJ

Let's goo 2 hours 🔥

Ozcuro

Normally just watch y'all on Youtube, but I had to tap into and support the Patreon for this one!

Tyreke

This gets me so hype for whatever he and metro cooked up

Pynnx

JID really has and been proving he in the conversation of one of the bests man, insanely versatile, refreshing sounds, and has the talent to back it all up man idk much more you want from someone in his lane!! This album only supports that too like gah damn. I watched his interview on complex that this album was made same time as The Forever Story and has like 100 songs made for this album and this somehow still sounded brand new and just goes to show his choice of stuff to talk about gon last

Kyle

i was so hyped to see yall reaction to the surprise vince verse but it seems spotify doesnt wanna hide the features anymore. 🥲

D Nice

Spotify features was hidden for just Friday.

Kagiso M. Keetse

Finally Vibe villa dropped , bro I’ve been waiting for this reaction since Friday (all the way from South Africa) 😭

Brandon Williams

Brooo finally. Been waiting on yalls reaction since the album dropped.

hus

Prince got them vocals at 1:13:05 🔥

Alan

Ay dope shit to see this get dropped finally. This album cemented jid in my Mount Rushmore. Incredible album!

EM

I still put on The Forever Story a lot but this shit already sounds better to me. The themes, beats, bars, new flows and sounds, it's all there. Peak.

sabolover123

26:46 i love yall bro😭😭

Jonah Foutz

Jesus JIDDY Joseph and Mary Christ. What a blessing this man is.

Ezra

That blank space on community where he says “you thinkin PAC, I’m thinkin (DOT)“ after the whole diss and what j cole dropped I feel like this is a reasonable guess

babo

pastor troy is a rapper

Zion

And im back

Jake Grogins

i see yall w the FHD deluxe vinyl. i copped both. this is my AOTY

Michael Baumann

“I peep your rap cap and I unscrew things” right after the whole chopped & screwed intro is wild. “Yall just follow the same patterns, but ima flip it, start screwed, then come with the fire.” Rap cap is your fake shit, but also cap like the top or the intro. Then the Prince and doves cry bar later by Malice… fire. This whole album is so deep, catch something new in every song every time I relisten.

Ryan

Haven't seen Derae so deep in his conspiracy bag since the Ab-Soul Control System reaction lol

Elijah Zalecki

Man I would’ve loved a ScHoolboy Q feature on Gz, the gangsta gangsta reminds me too much of oxymoron

Alan

BTW.....Apple Music>>>>>>>>Spotify lmaoo

Earnest Williams II

At the end of Martin’s life he had began to shift towards Malcolm’s way of thinking as well as economic revolution people think that’s why he died when he did because if he brought his followers over to Malcolm’s views it would’ve been real revolution in the US

mist

And he was right. It’s the only way to true freedom

David

Not Prince taking notes on JID's process at 1:49:38

Silly_Billy

Man, wish you got to it before the features were shown, but I’m here either way!! 🔥

Ryan

Forreal. I hope people start dropping Spotify. It's so bad from all aspects.

Issa X

Prince gotta stop rapping and talking ova the beat when he excited 😭

William Gaines III

I know we all have different taste but Hope yall come around to the slower songs and realize JID is kinda like Tyler and not just fully rap he is so versatile which is why a lot of us been fucking with bro for so long. Bro is definitely in the conversation glad we got the reaction 🤘🏾

WithoutTheJuice

Spotify didn’t ruin anything yall just waited too long to react 😂😂

Nate

Wild he raps glory without cussing once and it’s not even noticeable

GimliBackpack

Of Blue might be a top 3 JID song ever

StarzInDaSkyz

Do you both planned to react to JACKBOYS 2?

EricTheSwedishGuy

To be fair, Spotify threw up the features there after like 12h so it's not reasonable to expect people to react within that timeframe lol

takin

Thank you! Would be dope if you could do the Roc Marciano & DJ Premier project too!

malik2spiff

That second verse on “Of Blue” might be my favorite JiD verse ever.

TyKo

The features were hidden on release

Torin Reese

“…except VCRs exist”? 🤨

princevv

Couldn’t help it 😂

Nez

On community there’s 2 theories for the top guy getting shot. “POP! You thinking pac! I’m thinking *gunshots*” , people saying he saying Dot and others are saying it’s a Draco shooting so he misdirecting and actually saying Drake. Both theories 🔥 🔥 🔥

PA

Solid project. I do think some of the middle section like Sk8, What We On (sounds like a Travis joint), No boo (which sounds like a Drake track) don’t contribute much to the album concept even if some fans like them. It weakens the middle section. JID even responded to a post that said the first 6 could have been an EP, saying he gets it but he was trying to do something for the women fans. I think he could have polished the concept better throughout the album. One thing that was lacking vs Forever Story is there aren’t strong singles like Dance Now and Surround Sound. WRK might be a good strip club joint and Sk8 can join Nokia and Ring Ring Ring from Tyler on the rollerskate playlist. But they are pretty average joints otherwise. If he really wants to be in the Big 3 conversation, he should be able to make commercial hits.

Money Mon

Pastor Troy is a Legendary Rapper from Atlanta. I’m pretty sure yall have heard his music in passing most notably Vice Versa

vic

He can def sing, peep his tiny desk from a couple years ago 🙌🏼

Kendall Marshall

he’s got a lot of bagsssss man. and he’s really good at all of them. top 3 not 3

Xenolithic

For Glory, to get the choir to sing, he had to take off all cussing and even had to have his moms call the church and talk about what a son of god he is before they would agree to be on the project.

Amiranda 43

And JID writing on the back of the Domino’s timesheets had a domino effect on his career

Abdi

Where is jackboys 2?

Miles

Prince gotta be grooving to Sk8 in secret I swear

Lu

Hip hop is in such a beautiful place right now, the way everyone has been dropping amazing projects at a high level. JID is really showing that he’s been top tier this whole time

Gaurav U

was so excited about this react! Darae what you said at the end resonated - going thru dark to get to light. That connects to the album name too - God Does Like Ugly because you need ugly to get beauty. Something like that. Love the project

jared Bailey

I think this album a 10/10. I can be on any mood and find a song from this album to play. It’s better than TFS to me from a sonically and whole album sound.

Kagiso M. Keetse

JID on the interlude saying “lame ahh ninja” after Prince just said he wants to get back into the raps got me crying yo 😭

Kostia

Alaways a vibe to listen to a project with you guys. Excellent album. Cohesive. I hope to watch the recap soon.

Joel Kivistö

Jid the goat, you the goats. We here

FigLeaf Bicarbonate

That Roc Marci and premier is too short bro. I needed more.

Jose Ayala

JID counting on his VCRs verse was so fire and so was the transition to Vince.

Lu

The features were hidden on Apple Music for the first day and it definitely was a better first listening experience but either way the album is amazing

Nick Ratliff

I want to thank you guys for being a big part in putting me on to JID. He's been my favorite rapper out in the last few years since discovering his music

Alexander Haynes

Came to say Pastor Troy has a song called Vica Versa which called back to the previous track Of Blue on the album

poopstink

@ 24:20 Prince's face 🤣 JID is so dynamic on this album, his growth as an artist is notable from album to album. I'll take out a loan to see this live

Jordan

Ugh. As a woman fan... i like those songs well enough, but WE LIKE BARS TOO JID.

Miles Mulligan

Music volume super low or is it just me

Ben Cervantes

Bro you had me heated at first saying you were skipping what we on but nah that J.I.D verse nasty, love y’all’s reactions you’re very in depth with your reviews and you point out bars and make connections to stuff that most people listening won’t pick up on, yall really love music and that’s awesome keep grindin

blunt

nahhhhh, you loved that what we on once JID started slidin on it. You know damn well that's so fucking hard. The flow was immaculate.

CLASHWITHNOT

i had to tap in the patreon to see this album reaction, much love to you guys. Love the break downs on the bars.

CLASHWITHNOT

Bro 1 year late of this album coming out and I barely caught that, in glory JID says “children of the corn” children of the corn is a horror movie from the 90’s of children murdering adults🤯

Hunter Fessler

Everyone saying JID's voice is so much like Kendrick, but every album one of ya'll don't even know its JID during the bops xd. JID's ability to do backflips with his voice while we think he frontflipping is insane.

rcdoza19

Almost a year later, and this albums is my AOTY 2025. At first , I only skipped K Word but even that has the extended metaphor of karma, alliteration with the K sound, and the cinematic production on the song. And that’s the “worst” song on the album for me. It just goes to show how great, if not perfect, this album is. JID really has a damn near perfect discography IMO
