First sesh of 2026 let's goooo To celebrate, I'll show you one of Eminem's primary old school inspirations. Fu-Schnicken - True Fuschnick They were basically wu-tang before wu-tang. Chip Fu (1st verse) was EMs main inspiration. He rhymes in double/triple time but also rhymes his words backwards and forwards within his verses. Super complex rhyme pattern. They also have a song with Shaq (Yes the basketball player Shaq, and he can rap) called what's up doc. Shaq went last, the whole track is fire. But I prefer True Fuschnick Also, I'm glad y'all fuck with Chris Crack, he's one of my favs. His album "White people think god left them in charge" is 23 mins, no skips

Avery Brown

Yall gotta tap in to 456 semm by Mick Jenkins and Smino! Both of them went crazy on this and the beat is just nasty

Y’all should check out “Duffel Bag Hottie’s Revenge” with Benny the Butcher and Boldy James from the Excelsior EP he dropped last year. I really fuck with Boldy James’ part.

Yomiyomi87

Dear Winter / Bloody Fiegs is such a movie that Westside Gunn made into a song it’s his longest solo track that feels so short I can listen to it for days straight

Knoxyy

That earl verse on 24 gospel is nuts “It took a toll on 'em mental to never switch up, but still want different results Sisyphus liftin' a load It's a slippery slope The boulder big and wide” Sisyphus is a Greek figure who was punished by being forced to push a boulder up a hill for eternity if you guys fw philosophy Albert Camus flipped the myth in a book “the myth of sisyphus” into a metaphor about the human condition which earl kinda taps into there so i thought it was dope I’ll throw a couple recs for the next vibe sesh bc im early to this one lol Bunny Ciao by Mach & Fahim LAUNCHTHEBOATOFFAKEYWEST by estee nack (his best song imo) Lucha Bros by WSG, benny and curren$y Congo by roc marci not sure what you guys have heard so threw a couple in there, heavily fw the reactions keep doing yall thing

Knoxyy

shi didn’t realise i left a whole ass page for a comment🤣

the grammys are really mysterious. kendrick didn’t put out any promo/campaigning at all for himself to win grammys, but it seems like the less interested he is in the grammys the more they throw at him. clipse did tons of interviews, marketing, promo packages to campaign for the grammys and they only got the one for chains & whips. if it’s all votes based on glad-handing how did they not get more? and they had pharrell & his contacts pulling for them. it doesn’t make sense to me. kendrick did speak on why the grammys matter to him in his pre-super bowl interview from last year if you’re interested

Jay

go fish! volume 1 - conway prod by mac miller, All I Need Wiki and Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples La Leakers freestyle from 2021

Fahad Ali

You asked for another Southside Vic recommendation- not my interlude

Fooly

Saw Kendrick in the lineup thought my suggestion got the listen, maybe this time around tho 😮‍💨🙏🏾 Kurupted by Kendrick Back from his early mixtapes. Grimier sound than what we used to from Dot these days, you can tell he was hungry. You can really hear his rap influences in this too, hence the song name. Love the vibesesh as always, my favorite series from yall!

Brandon

I think the “anti industry” take was more about how he didn’t like how rap was

shots

A$AP Rocky - Sandman

Trey M

First Class Landing - AntsLive, Knucks, & Bawo is really dope. worth a listen

SAM-WISE GAMGEE

Glad to see yall back at it. Life has been crazy over here

Duane Tasha Dunlap

gnx dropped in late 24 but the new grammy window, for 25 and clipse also was in the catgory. kendrick isn't anti industry but more so anti some promotion inside the industry. part of the reason to stay visible is to inflict change in the industry as well. you cant incite change without being present. its hard to affect something you are not a part of fam. its just like no one can love the music others are asking you to listen to without being a part of your channel. no minds can ever be changed without presence!!1

Shane Jamil Hill-Taylor

Wiki ft Earl all I need y'all gotta get hip to wiki he got some joints If you are already hip have y'all ever heard swamp bitches by doechii and rico nasty? One of her best rap songs and what out me on to her music

Leon K

If you want a throwback you should check out My Way by Kanye West Was on a Purple City mixtape about a year before The College Dropout released and is classic Kanye through and through

Liam Parry

Since you just reacted to some roc Marciano and enjoyed Errol Holden You have to check out a collab called jerry buss Also scrolling and seen some Estee nack on the channel on features and a song I’ve listened to heavy is QUETZACOATL Insane beat imo

Fahad Ali

Also for southside Vic I remember you heard one of his freestyles, you probably didn’t hear either take shots or rap economics

babo

i need to listen a few times but half that verse is a play on platos cave is CRAZYYYY

babo

‘if you can look at it from that light.. then roc why arent you seeing it’ is actually nuts on a platos cave ting omds

babo

and with watching the party die i took it as the tone of rap has changed which it has mad clearly which most rappers and industry people blame on the beef and then also the grammy rules are different to what they were when jay z n em were boycotting like drastically

babo

and i think the anti industry thing is more projection than anything i think kendrick obviously wants fame and has made albums about that confliction but ive never seen him as anti industry and dont know why people think of him that way his ideologies are a separate thing. if from the start of my career kendrick has been with Dr dre and and signed and seen as big 3 i dont actually know why anyone in their right mind think THAT GUY stadium tour guy is that anti industry

babo

i also think the evil in the industry is assumed to be direct but to me its like i dont believe the scientist is evil i think he just loves science but maybe whoever pays for the lab is the devil..

Greenmc2000

MIKE and Earl affiliate, Sideshow. He truly dropped one of the best rap projects in a while. Sideshow - Chaos Constant

waleed alsahabi

enzo

Are you a Maglera fan? I just started listening to him

enzo

Spoken word break? Check out “In Tune” by Robert Glasper and Amir Sulaiman The whole Black Radio III project is amazing

AJ

Mike Shabb - Blood Bath Mike Shabb is super underrated and has dropped some of my favorite projects recently. (Shabbvangogh, Fight the power!) Hes a montreal rapper who works with Nicholas Craven a lot and has produced for WSG, so every project has fire production. Unorthodox flow at times but I highly recommend

Young Simba

Stove God Cooks x Action Bronson - Alternate Intro (it’s on YouTube by Beezy. Y’all gotta just trust me on this one lol)

Trent

Bulletproof - Ben Reilly. Good song off the album he finally dropped. Y’all should def check it out some time if you like this one

eoin
