Melt Session reminds me of The Heart Pt. 2 by Kendrick. When the drums come in, and the melodies at the end + the way he’s rapping on it. Incredible opener

I really hope that this win AOTY. My guy has been putting in work for years, and this album is a masterpiece.

Loved the review, as a Lupe, Kendrick, early Logic, and 90s hip hop fan, this album was all I wanted and more from Zel 🔥 Something i noticed that you guys also mentioned is him borrowing flows from classic rappers, and i feel like it's something that only hip hop heads will be able to truly appreciate. For ex. at 2:35 on the Ills he switched to a flow/breathing style that sounds so much like Scarface on Smile (1:40 on). Even if it wasn't intentional I love that sound comin out in 2022. Would be super cool to see videos going into how artists like Zel pay tribute to old school artists 👌🏽 You guys are def my fave reviewers thanks for what you do 🙏🏽
