thanks for getting this out! 🙏🏻 The transitions between the tracks are top tier, I like the versatility he displays and the vulnerability he has on it. I feel like this could be peak Russ as an artist personally. Overall I really enjoyed the album and concept it represents, I'm excited to see what he comes with in the future. 🔥

I Love You Boy is about Russ acknowledging the person he had to become to live through the trauma he dealt with growing up but understanding that he doesn't need that baggage anymore to move forward. That person helped him become who he is today, but its time to let that go and grow into himself without those past insecurities and traumas that initially drove him

Jake Grogins

liked a couple songs on here. not a russ fan but have def heard worse projects.

Rudra

Hope you react to that new Conway, 38 Spesh, and Lloyd Banks

Quick insights: - Album cover was created by the same artist who created cole’s KOD album cover and is meant to represent external psychological warfare he put himself thru his journey so far - The concept of the album is based on The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho but told from the perspective of himself and his childhood - I believe he mentioned this album was constructed over the course of 2 years. So that’s why the sound and his rapping skills are varied and depicted different versions of russ. He said fraud was the last song on the album he worked on. - He played his album for Dr. Dre at his studio and Dre gave his stamp of approval on the album

Yo! Great reaction. My boy Chris Yonge helped produced track 3!! He’s a dope artist too

Think he’s had an ego death, realizing his cocky personality he’s used as a front to get him this far in his career, will only get him so far. He wants to grow as a human and an artist to the next level and is shedding his alter ego to do so. He recognizes the great things “the monster he created” (his alter ego) had done for him in his life. But is turning a new chapter. Man’s is maturing!

RACUNA

I looked up at the sky for so long, I grew wings - Russ - MVP (2016) How high can I fly if I just learn how to extend my wings - Russ - Tunnel Vision (2023)

honestly my issue with russ, is the repetition of his cadences when he starts rapping. I feel like every single song i’ve ever heard from him rapping including the chomp tapes he carrie’s the same cadence and almost the same rhyme schemes on a lot of tracks. I feel like this album honestly just did the same and didn’t even hit as hard compared to an album like chomp. Granted it’s definitely more rnb but I can’t stand his repetitive cadence. Very predictable flow you know exactly when a rhyme is coming every time.

New 38 spesh album on Friday the 8th, that song is on there too
