A/N: Be warned, chapter outlines will have spoilers. If you do not wish to be spoiled, do not read. If you don’t care and would like to give feedback (good or bad) on the chapter’s skeleton before it is actually written, this is your opportunity to do so.

A day after leaving the mountains, Ben, Wendy, and Carla reach the southwestern fishing town of Brineport hoping to enjoy some time near the ocean. Unfortunately, they quickly learn that the rocky shoreline, dangerous currents, and hungry sea predators make it a poor place for swimming.

Their disappointment fades when they discover the Sea Lily, a passenger ship about to depart for the beautiful port town of Seablossom. The tickets are well beyond their limited travel budget, but an unexpected gift gives the trio another reminder of the friends they made in Sun Village... and provides exactly what they need to continue their journey.

…

Two days into the cruise, Wendy remains fascinated by her first voyage while Ben has already grown tired of seeing endless water in every direction.

As they read about Seablossom’s upcoming annual Tide Festival, Wendy tells Ben about guild celebrations throughout Fiore, including Fairy Tail’s famous Harvest Festival and its parade.

Ben barely has time to complain about how he could never spend his life sailing before another vessel begins rapidly approaching the Sea Lily. Its flag leaves little doubt about the intentions of those aboard.

Pirates have found them.

…

Ben transforms into Lodestar to counter the pirates’ cannon fire, but he is not the only capable wizard traveling aboard the cruise ship. Sixteen-year-old Kagura Mikazuchi steps forward from among the passengers and calmly offers her assistance.

Believing Lodestar to be an unusual Take Over mage hired to protect the vessel, Kagura introduces herself as a wizard of Mermaid Heel. Her seriousness, discipline, and composure immediately stand out to Ben, while Wendy is excited to meet another traveling guild wizard.

Together, Lodestar, Wendy, and Kagura defend the Sea Lily as the pirates attempt to board. Lodestar’s magnetism proves especially troublesome for enemies who rely on cannons, swords, hooks, and other metal weapons, leaving Wendy and Kagura free to deal with the disarmed attackers.

The pirates soon learn that attacking this particular passenger ship was an exceptionally poor decision.

…

After the captured pirates are delivered to the Rune Knights in Seablossom, Ben, Wendy, and Kagura split the bounty and spend more time getting acquainted.

Kagura quickly develops a soft spot for Wendy, whose kindness reminds her of the little sister she always wished she had. Ben, meanwhile, strikes her as strange, amusing, and far more capable than his casual behavior initially suggests.

Curious about the limits of his unusual magic, Kagura challenges him to a friendly spar.

…

Kagura leads the group to an isolated stretch of beach outside town. Ben allows her to make the first move.

Ben vs Kagura

Ben improvises a new move to defeat Kagura.

Although Kagura loses the match, she comes away encouraged rather than humiliated. Grateful for the opportunity, she arranges lodging for Ben, Wendy, and Carla and agrees to join them at the beach the following morning.

This agreement also forces all four of them to confront one inconvenient problem: none of them came prepared with proper swimwear.

…

Back at Mermaid Heel's guild hall, Kagura’s guildmates immediately notice that something about her seems lighter than usual.

Introduction to Kagura's teacher in swordsmanship and Gravity Magic.

Kagura asks Risley and Araña where she can purchase a swimsuit. This single question is enough to send the younger guild members into a storm of gossip and speculation—especially once they learn that Kagura spent the afternoon with a boy.

Before she can put an end to the rumors, Mermaid Heel's guild master summons Kagura her to discuss a concerning new mission involving unusual activity along Seablossom’s coast.

…

The following morning, Kagura takes Ben, Wendy, and Carla shopping before guiding them to one of the region’s better beaches. Unknown to her, several curious Mermaid Heel members follow at a supposedly discreet distance to investigate the mysterious boy their usually stern guildmate has befriended.

The day provides some much-needed relaxation.

Ben surprises Wendy and Kagura with one of the more unusual DNA samples stored within the Omnitrix, giving them the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins.

Wendy embraces the experience immediately. Kagura is more hesitant, but Ben notices her interest and quietly invites her to join them. Away from training, missions, and the pressure she places upon herself, Kagura finally begins to relax—and the Mermaid Heel spies witness something they rarely see from her.

A genuine smile.

…

Their peaceful beach outing is interrupted when a damaged fishing vessel struggles toward shore while enormous tentacles pull at its hull.

Ben dives into the water as Ripjaws to rescue the fishermen, only to discover that several giant octopuses have migrated dangerously close to the coast.

When the creatures begin crawling onto the beach, Wendy, Kagura, Carla, and the no-longer-hidden Mermaid Heel wizards work together to evacuate civilians and drive them back.

Once the danger has passed, Kagura demands an explanation from the guildmates who have been following them all morning. Their claims that they merely happened to choose the same shops and beach fool absolutely no one—especially Ben, who offers some blunt criticism of their surveillance skills.

…

At the Mermaid Heel guild hall, Ben meets their guild master, Marielle Azure, the poised and formidable woman responsible for transforming the guild into a respected force in northern Fiore.

Marielle explains that the octopuses normally live much farther offshore and rarely rise from the deep sea. Their recent attacks on fishing boats and passenger vessels suggest that something has disturbed their natural habitat.

The situation threatens not only Seablossom’s fishing industry but also the approaching festival.

Before the guild can settle on a course of action, an enormous wave appears beyond the harbor and races directly toward the city. Ben is forced to test a newly unlocked transformation whose abilities resemble Kagura’s Gravity Magic, revealing possibilities she had never considered.

Although the city is spared, the wave confirms Marielle’s fears: something far larger is moving beneath the southern sea.

…

Ben joins Marielle, Kagura, Wendy, and several of Mermaid Heel’s strongest members on an expedition beyond the coast.

Using Brainstorm's electrical senses, Ben searches beneath the waves for signs of the displaced creatures. The expedition encounters more giant octopuses before detecting something so massive that even Ben struggles to comprehend its scale.

What rises from the depths is not simply another monster attacking the coast. It is a legendary sea creature believed to possess strength surpassing that of Dragons—and its arrival raises a more complicated question.

Is the creature truly hostile, or is it simply another animal driven from its home?

Rather than immediately attempting to destroy it, Ben, Wendy, and Mermaid Heel search for a way to protect Seablossom without harming a creature acting on instinct.

The solution requires one of Ben’s strangest transformations and proves that saving the day does not always mean winning a fight.

…

With the coastal crisis resolved, Seablossom’s Tide Festival is allowed to proceed.

Ben, Wendy, and Carla spend the celebration alongside the members of Mermaid Heel, while Kagura is gradually pulled into the festivities. Ben encourages her to smile more often and gives her a small gift that will eventually become part of her familiar appearance.

During Mermaid Heel’s evening performance, Ben and Wendy are invited to join the dancing. Risley uses the opportunity to trick Kagura into taking her place beside Ben, leading to a graceful dance that echoes their earlier spar—only this time without magic, swords, or competition.

…

The following morning, the members of Mermaid Heel gather to see Ben, Wendy, and Carla off.

Before they depart, Marielle presents Ben with a gift as thanks for helping protect Seablossom.

Kagura says goodbye with more warmth than she would have shown only a few days earlier, while Wendy leaves with another friend she hopes to meet again.

The trio resumes their journey through Fiore.

“ Its flag leaves little doubt about the intentions of those aboard. Pirates have found them.” I doubt the Strawhats jumped universes for a vacation, no? Would be funny if you make them a parody of one of the notable pirate crews in One Piece. “ Sixteen-year-old Kagura Mikazuchi steps forward from among the passengers and calmly offers her assistance.” Wonder if her appearance would bring up some heartache regarding Julie… “ Ben surprises Wendy and Kagura with one of the more unusual DNA samples stored within the Omnitrix, giving them the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins.” Is this a canon form, or an original one? “ Ben dives into the water as Ripjaws to rescue the fishermen, only to discover that several giant octopuses have migrated dangerously close to the coast.” Fairy Tail almost turned from ecchi into full blown hentai there. “ What rises from the depths is not simply another monster attacking the coast. It is a legendary sea creature believed to possess strength surpassing that of Dragons—and its arrival raises a more complicated question.” Cthulhu, is that you? Looks pretty good, can’t wait to see the finished product!

Divinity

It seems the Galilean joins the fray in Tennyson's arsenal, and yet again one other member of the opposite sex he seems to accidentally charm. 👀

Hunter of The

So, obviously we are getting Gravattak, but but a dolphin communicating form? Are we gonna get Palifin? Though thinking about it, it may just be walkatrout.

John

Like the Fake Strawhats? That would be perfect.

How complete is chapter 8 (in percentages)? And what is the usual release of the chapter after you released the preview/outline? Given the map you released previously (and Ben’s current journey so far), which path will you lead him towards after he’s done with Mermaid Heel? There’s going to Blue Pegasus to meet Jenny (perhaps recreate the kidnapping from your past fanfic), and then Ben can either go diagonally to Crocus, or just go down the line all the way to Magnolia…guess it’s coming close that Ben and Wendy separate and Ben finds himself in Fairy Tail…unless you will try bucking trends and have him wind up in a different guild instead?

I saw this outline was 8-9, so is the chapter getting split like UP did?
