I couldn't do it. I have many skills and I know I'm pretty damn good at storytelling, but I couldn't do it.

Enjoy. :)

Hey I wasn't attached to the whole no talking thing it seems impossible to write. The story is really cool so far super dark but I'm enjoying it. I'm with Taz these people in charge need to burn!

I am really enjoying this story, I hope you continue and perhaps turn this into another book and-or series.

I think this was a natural place to have him finally speak, and his interactions with Mauren were written well. It'll be neat seeing how their relationship evolves. But damn, what an evil society! Any system that refuses to see the inherent rights of other sentients (as well as enslave them) is structurally immoral, and I hope to see Taz make some change (or at least get some justified revenge along the way).

Grumpy Old-Man

I agree with brill. This is shaping up to be Interesting.

I am liking this main character. The no nonsense no bullshit personality is fitting well. I know you weren't able to do the silent protagonist thing but I think it fit him well if his words were very measured and meaningful. Loving it though. More please.

Gaunt

This will be most interesting.

I’m really loving this one, super intriguing

Neat story, and really interesting character. Taz feels kinda like what might've happened if the MC from CC had 'gone bad' rather than trying his hardest to be a good man. Loved Taz's stubborn 'not gonna talk' thinking, too. I'm hoping we'll get more backstory on him, but as it is, you could leave it as is and it would still work well.

I love your stories, in general! I also like the aspect of humans as a dangerous species on the individual level very much, because that is not explored very often... I am looking forward to reading how you will let that turn out! Also..."no talking" as a priciple alone was interesting as a starting point, but since a like the dialogues you write, I think it might have grown difficult as a ever growing gap in the narrative... I might be wrong with that, but I kind of felt relief when the talking started... :D
