Hello everyone, this is FT Girl!
It's been about a week since the Demo was released.
During this week, I've received a huge amount of feedback from players. Thank you so much for playing and for all of your support!
Of course, quite a few bugs that didn't appear during our own testing were discovered after release, so I've been working on emergency fixes as well.
I've also received quite a lot of feedback saying that the current Demo feels a little short on content.
More content will gradually be added as development continues!
This includes new enemy types, weapons and equipment, outfits, CGs, and story content.
Ver.0.0.2 mainly focuses on the areas that received the most feedback and requests.
However, I don't want to add too many new systems to the Demo right now, since there is still a huge amount of story content, cutscenes, CGs, and other material that needs to be completed for the full game.
Ver.0.0.2 – New Content
Stages 7 & 8
Stages 7 and 8 are now available!
The maps are also gradually becoming larger as the game progresses.
New Knife-Wielding Elite Enemy
A new elite enemy type has been added.
This enemy has a Guard Gauge and cannot simply be assassinated immediately like normal enemies.
You'll need to break through their defense first.
Hint: Try using the newly unlocked grenade!
Restraint Escape System
One of the most requested features was the return of the same-stage restraint escape system from Crossdresser Detective 1 & 2.
This system has now been implemented in Ver.0.0.2!
If the player is captured before their HP reaches zero and fails to escape the grab, they will be taken to a torture room located somewhere within the same stage.
There will usually be obstacles around the torture room that can be used to hide from enemy vision.
Similar to Stage 1, the player must avoid enemies while searching for a lockpick.
The lockpick is generally placed fairly close to the torture room, so you'll usually only need to sneak past around one enemy to reach it.
Once the restraints are removed, the original mission continues with your previous objective progress preserved.
However, if you're captured again, you'll be sent back to the torture room.
Detective Office Environment Update
I've added more details to the hallway around the detective office to give it the atmosphere of a Japanese multi-tenant building filled with adult entertainment businesses.
Chapter 2 will feature many more outdoor environments inspired by Japanese entertainment and red-light districts.
Ver.0.0.2 – Improvements & Adjustments
A number of smaller systems and visual elements have also been improved:
The currently selected weapon is now highlighted in red
Equipped weapons are marked with an “E” in the inventory
Adjustments to the AVG/dialogue interface font
Adjustments to the female elite enemy's attack range
Dropped items now use clearer icons
Coins are now collected automatically
Enemies enter Search Mode when they discover a dead ally
A special icon now appears when an enemy is about to perform a grab
Enemies can now detect crouching players at close range
Dropped items in particular were previously displayed at their realistic physical size.
This made them very difficult to see when the camera was zoomed out, so I've replaced them with clearer item icons.
Enemy AI has also received some improvements.
If an enemy discovers the body of an ally, they will no longer simply ignore it and continue patrolling. Instead, they will enter Search Mode and investigate the surrounding area.
Ver.0.0.2 – Bug Fixes
The following issues have been fixed:
Fixed an animation bug caused by interacting while crouching
Fixed an issue on some PCs where the character would continuously move to the left
Fixed display issues with “New Game” and several other UI elements in the English version
This update was heavily influenced by the feedback I've received from everyone who played the Demo.
Having so many people actually play the game has helped uncover problems and areas for improvement that were difficult to notice during development.
Since this is still a Demo, there are plenty of things that need further adjustment, including content volume, balancing, UI, and enemy AI.
However, rather than endlessly expanding the Demo itself, I'll also be returning my focus to development of the full game—including the main story, cutscenes, CGs, enemies, and new stages.
I'll continue using your feedback as a reference throughout development.
Thank you so much for playing, testing, and sending your feedback!
And thank you, as always, for supporting Crossdresser Detective 3!
