The idea that Russia is somehow removed from European society is silly on the face of it. Russians directly interacted with the Europeans regularly for a thousand years, borrowing ideas and methods. French was the Court Language of the Russian Empire for like two centuries. There was a lot of cross pollination.

So as someone who is anarchistic from ethics, archaeologically minded by training, and esoterically inclined by divine dictum I find folks like Duggin (or Evola, or "What T if all his T" or Josh Campbell etcetera) particularly excruciating is the fantasmagoric onionionionion of wrong they are. But like the fucking misunderstanding of linear & nonlinear time (even by "woke" types) drives me up the goddamn wall. This is where doing the Greek thing & having an absurd panoply of words for the thing is good There is χρονος or bounded time, time as the increasing of entropy, time the thing measured in seconds per lightsecond; what a chronometer's hands span. This shit is linear in all cultures, it is a physiological reality & painting it otherwise is wrongheaded & tends to serve exoticizing, othering, folk In Greek there is καιρός or choppy time; the moment, the age. Time whose length is not so much measurable but perceived by either it being or not being of/for a thing. But we can talk about ritual times which loop into themselves, presenting a continuity & sense of community with the imagined community of co-ritualists & ancestral practitioners, or times where cultural change is at such effervescence that mythopoesis comes to the forefront and the cosmos is (re)written & like most of the issues with this have been people being too arrogant to try & look or understand Like I could ... Probably not last three minutes with him before trying to bite him.

The feminism thing is ... like that sort of reaction also drives me nuts because like... sisters; you think caring for children isn't work? You think pre-modern women didn't work? Like you think your sisters who lived under feudalism didn't cut pick the wheat or kill the pigs? The work or home dichotomy is a lie spread by the rich & indolent who wish to remain so by outfarming the pains they are spared & claiming the golden fruits. The home is the world, all of humanity must be free to share of it; work, the only work, is to better it for all.
