Let's play a game. I do an impression of someone and you guess who I am.

"C'mon guyyys, the US army isn't political guyyyys." Did you get it? Correct! I'm the reasonable apolitical streamer and army propagandist Dan Gheesling. Who is coincidentially also the subject of today's episode.

Bit of an odd question, but I'm really curious. Is Anne there playing the clips live as you guys are recording the pod?

Thank God the Serbian (heart and soul of the show [or "pod"]) is back.

At a Minnesota Vikings game the team put a picture of Johnny Sins in a military uniform accidentally for a military appreciation thing.

Obviously it’s been a while (20 years now) but the closest thing in Australia to children saying the pledge, every week the whole school would gather in either the main courtyard or the main theatre for ‘school news & good vibe stories etc’ and at the start of that we would sing the national anthem, but idek if Australia has a ‘pledge of loyalty’ type thing. Just thought it was relevant as probably the 3rd most American country after the US and Canada. Would be interested if any Canadians could say if they have anything closer.

Something that would be a good follow up with this, is like the U.S. MIC connection to video games, we all know the call of duty connection but with the new ace combat I’ve had a lot of what I would consider normally anti imperialist friends suddenly excuse project aces / Bandai working with Lockheed or other plane manufacturers because it “increases accuracy”, when it’s just running PR / propaganda to be like woah you want to fly these cool planes join your insert country Air Force! You can enjoy the game (I certainly am) but to be willfully blind to the atrocities these companies commit and how this just is a way they was their hands, especially as someone who claims to oppose imperialism just because it’s the game series you like I think is something important.

In elementary school after 9/11 my school made us sing some patriotic America song after the pledge. I only had one teacher senior year who gave us the option to say the pledge each morning.
