What I'm working on. (Patreon)

Hi everyone,
It's 10.15am here so it's my morning cuppa time.
I'm popping in to share what I'm working on at the moment. I am currently voicing over this pink rose tutorial that I painted last year. If you have a look at the photo of my computer screen you'll see Premier Pro opened up (third photo). The blue area on the screen is the part I've voiced over. The green area is what I am yet to voice over. It takes a long time! That blue area is one hour long so far but that one hour of video has taken me about 4 hours to voice over.
My younger son, who works in the TV industry as a videographer, cut all the video for me for this one. He's going to start helping me out with the editing soon. I can't wait! I'll be able to pay him which will help him pay his rent. He lives in Sydney and he's only 23.....just a little boy really. I worry about him away in the big smoke.
I also bought myself a microphone extension arm (6th and 7th photos). Oh wow! What a difference it has made to my life! I can now sit directly in front of the computer and look at the screen 'straight on' when I talk. I used to have the microphone free standing on my desk but it had to sit to the left of the computer in that little sound booth (8th photo). I would move my chair, lean in and look to the right as I talked. I can't tell you what a difference that extension arm has made. I now 'almost' enjoy doing the voice over!
As far as painting goes, I'm painting a beginner tutorial that will focus on glazing colours over the top of one another. That's the eucalyptus leaf painting you can see that I've started. I'm trying out some Crescent watercolour board for this painting so I'll be able to let you know what I think about it.
Finally, as you know I'm planning to teach myself how to paint landscapes so I was thinking that I might document (record) my learning so I can share it with you and we can learn together. That's what I'm tossing around in my mind at the moment anyway.
Ok, the kettle has boiled. I'm going to have a quick cuppa and then back to work.
I almost forgot. Dom has uploaded two videos to his new YouTube channel where he shows how he transformed an old architect's plan cabinet into my new paper cabinet. He worked so hard on it for 6 weekends in a row and I am so grateful that he did. It is fabulous. We paid about $15 for it 18 or 19 years ago and it has been sitting in our garage gathering dust and cobwebs so to now have it in pride of place in my painting room is wonderful!
His channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbWNvSmr4DMRCsW_5q-YyQw
He made a part 1 and a part 2 because he wanted to share it all. He'd be thrilled if you had a look.
PS: It's raining today here! Happy dance!!
