Hi everyone,

Here is Part 2 of the Greeting Cards Flower Tutorial.

Part 1 is here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/68077242

In this video I paint the Lily and pink Rose bud. Like the first tutorial, each flower took me about half an hour/45 minutes to paint and I tried to keep them as simple as I could.

The size of the opened out card is 21cm by 14.8cm (8.2 inches by 5.8 inches).

The reference photos of both flowers are my own.

All of the files you need to complete the paintings are attached below my message here.

Have fun.

Louise

My tutorials are designed to help you on your creative journey. Any painting you create from a tutorial where I use my own reference photo is for personal use only. They can't be sold or entered into an art competition. I write on the Supplies Lists where the photos come from.

Permission is not given to paint any of my earlier paintings that are not tutorials because some of them are licensed. Also, a few of my earlier paintings were painted from photographs where I sought the permission of the photographer. The photographer gave me permission to use it, not others.

If I do a tutorial where I use another photographer's photo (eg from Pixabay or Unsplash) that is available for anyone throughout the world to download (copyright free) and use I’m happy for you to sell the paintings you create from the tutorial. I know art supplies are expensive, so it's good to be able to recoup the costs of supplies.

If I do a tutorial and I use a photo that I have paid for and downloaded from the website Wildlife Reference Photos in order for you to sell the painting you create from the tutorial you need to purchase and download the photograph yourself. This is in accordance with the Terms and Services of the Wildlife Reference Photo website.

If you share a finished painting on social media I would really appreciate it if you could link back to my account (be it on Facebook, YouTube or Instagram) and mention that you painted it in one of my tutorials. @louisedemasi

Thank you!

Hazel Dalton

Louise, greetings and again....thanks for all of you hard work. I know your request list must be a mile long but, I need to add mine. Would love you to do a tutorial on water drops.....Others have tutorials on this BUT, when one is learning from the best, anything else is second rate. I'll wait :`)

Louise De Masi

Hi Hazel.....lol....thank you! I've had a water drops tutorial on my mind actually. I have painted a water drop at the end of the Coral Rose tutorial. You could have a look at that in the mean time. 💕

Hazel Dalton

Great minds! Thanks Louise, I'll have a look at coral rose.

Audrey Reed

I think I have done these cards about 4 times each now. Very helpful!

ann fuller

I love the white rose. I made some cards. This is a quick project when you only have a little while to paint, so much fun!

Katherine Falzon

Loved all the quick projects. Will make some good cards for family and friends.

Yvonne Walton

Thanks Louise these look awesome to try.

Jeannette Orr

We are going away in a few months and was thinking of painting some cards to give as gifts, and then this came up. Thank you so much.

Debra Broido

You teach me how to see a photograph. Once you mention them I can see them. You are such an excellent teacher.

Tillie Fowler

Thank you! It really helps seeing the photograph of the rose while you teach.

Libby Padovan

I found this card tutorial of flowers so very helpful. You are such an awesome, knowledgeable teacher, clear step by step guidance and explanations of the use of water and paint especially the charging of colour. I've painted all four, so happy with the way they have turned out. Thank you so very much for sharing your talent, you bring so much joy and encouragement to my painting journey.

Diane Pickett

Enjoying this immensely. I watch you and then look at reference photos for each layer. I'm learning about water, edges and how to work them. Thanks.

Louise De Masi

Thanks so much Libby. I'm glad you enjoyed it and were happy with your results.

Becky Martin

I finished the note cards on scrap pieces of 300lb cold press arches paper I had on hand.. What do you recommend getting for a good quality set of cotton 300 or 140 lb cold press cards with envelopes?t

Louise De Masi

Hi Becky I've only ever used the cards I used in this tutorial. They are from Etchr and I was quite happy with them.

sue warren

hi so excited to be here. Question. The rose line drawing that downloaded from below isnt the same wh

sue warren

continued. Isnt the same one your painting in the tutorial..

Louise De Masi

Hi Sue it's the same but I've included the shadows and a few extra sepals so you don't have to draw them in yourself. Watch the footage of the whole painting before you try to paint it.

Aurora Culkin

Loving all aspects of this tutorial. Fun to draw, paint and have a card to give away:)

Louise De Masi

Thanks Aurora. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll do more when I can.
