Yeah this was definitely an annoying Benedict episode but i swear in 6, 7 and 8 there is so much more exploration of the issues and he is never as insufferable as he was here. He truly loves her and is just trying to figure out some kind of life they can have together without blowing up his whole family. There's so much more acknowledgement of it all and exploration of why their relationship is so complicated and they can't just have the easy "just get married" relationship the other couples did. Like the annoying benedict of this episode does not come back in the remaining ones, i promise. this was his messy episode. the next ones do a much better job explaining the stakes and the obstacles that make his actions make way more sense
