Every day is Mother's Day in my heart.

Wow, Jun looks impressive. To make Jun's eyes stand out like this, did you make any specific configuration? And how did you get Nina to have red lips? Did you modify the texture outside of blender or with the same blender?

Airo

Thanks! I make Jun's eyes a little brighter in the material settings. Nina's lipstick is included in the Mokujin model. I didn't change the textures, I just tweak some settings in the material properties (for example, I lowered the normal map so that the skin wouldn't look too rough in such a close-up shot)

I see. I'd like to replicate what you did with Jun and Nina, but with Jun and Ada Wong… but I'm sure I won't do anything ;-;… I must have had Jun's model saved for about a year. When I asked Ciribestgirl for it, I managed to apply the texture settings from Ada's Rigid3D model, but I never end up doing anything with it. I love seeing renders of Jun like yours; it makes me want to do something, but I end up training and labbing in Tekken for tournaments, and in the end, I don't do it 😞. I feel like there are so many things involved in creating a render like that… The lighting, the pose, etc… How long did it take you to make the render?

Airo

I think I spent a couple of days on it, then switched to Cat, and then came back and spent another couple of days finishing it. Of course, not “all day,” but a few hours of my free time. But you can keep polishing these things forever - the devil is in the details

I understand. I'd say my biggest problem is not having a clear idea of the optimal settings for good quality, and I also don't really know how to achieve good lighting within the render, placing lights and all that, like in your image. Maybe I should start with simpler things. I used to do renders, but it's been almost two years since I uploaded anything. I used to do renders with voluptuous bodies, and of course, adapting the clothing to those bodies was difficult. But thank you for your answer!

Yes, it’s best to start with the basics. Understand how to best set up the lighting and the scene comes with practice; often, you have to experiment on your own and learn from your mistakes. There’s no secret formula here.
