Yeah, your mom went to school, you know!

The latest character DLC in Tekken got me thinking—we're in the middle of a generational shift right now.As you know, in the past, other characters played the roles of schoolgirls: Asuka, Lili, Xiao, and Alisa (though Asuka and Lili were the mains). They are symbols of the Heisei era - or, more precisely, the essence of stereotypes about what GIRLS IN JAPAN looked like in the 2000s. But the 00s are over, the Heisei era has ended, and that trend has disappeared with it. And now Lili and Asuka look, well, a little, um, old-fashioned, to be honest. The Reiwa era has begun, and with it have come new female schoolgirl characters (Reina, Miary Zo, Kunimitsu have also been decided to be schoolgirls), whom I don't really like very much - I think they're even more dumb and stupid. But the idea came to me - what about the "old ladies" in the series? After all, they were schoolgirls during the Showa era (well, depending on how you calculate their age). Still, that’s the 80s or early 90s - the golden age! Maybe they were even in school at the same time that Kazuma Kiryu was walking around Kamurocho in his suit? In some alternate reality, could they have been classmates - or even a little more than just friends?
