I feel bad for Christine she probably had a rough time in school and probably clung to the idea of aliens as an idea with the idea that someone in the universe must understand how she feels. Most people will go through something like this but most of us do find a way to make it through it's just a matter of meeting the right people and having good support. Christine's life isn't over and her future probably will turn out just fine.
