Traditional Vietnamese clothing X Modern (Patreon)

Some design work for the first week of the class ! This is my take on mixing traditional Vietnamese clothing with modern clothing. I'll update another 3 character which I'll use Asiatic black bear as the base character with a different theme tomorrow !

OMG I love this so much! The fashion mixes both aspects so seamlessly and the way you repurpose the traditional and give it new meaning in the modern Operator and Safety Officer is seriously so good!!! I hope you can share with us the feedback you get because I'm so impressed and think they're all amazing but it's just my very amateur opinion hehe so I would love to know what your teacher says! Gosh I was so entranced by the fashion design but 🩵🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🩵 they look so handsome!!!

All of these have such unique feels to them! The balance of traditional and modern in the first one is wonderful. My favorite is the third one with the trenchcoat and traditional talismans/accents. It's understated but has so much character.

I just got the feed back ! My teacher love the two and three design, but the first one can have more improvement to make him look more "Vietnam" ! I'll keep this in mind and improve on it with the following weeks !

Thank you ! These are quite tough to do, especially how should I represent the "Vietnam" part more, but I got the feedback now and I'll try to incorporate it !

Nice!!! I'm glad you got some constructive feedback, and while I love all of them I got to admit design number 3 is my personal favorite. It has really clean lines and the coat lapels add such a great point of focus and contrast to the overall minimalist design, coupled with the traditional accessories it's no wonder your teacher also loved it!
