Champa or Nagaracampa was a collection of independent Cham polities that extended across the coast of what is today central and southern Vietnam from approximately the 2nd century AD until 1832, when it was annexed by the Vietnamese Empire. The clothing was based on the apsara, a deity in Hindu and Buddhist culture, of which were the main religion of the Cham people
