Also, this post is me testing how these links actually work. I am 100% in the dark about how they actually verify Patrons. Additionally, I have no idea if there is a delay between subscribing on Patreon and Itch giving you access. Finally, I've sent an email to Itch support about the issue.

Hello, I had a problem where i tried to connect my patron and Itch-io accounts using this link, and it just wouldn't work no matter what i did. So I went about trying different things until I manually connected my patreon account through settings on Itch-io, which worked immediately, allowing me to access the paid version of the game. so if anyone has a similar problem, try to manually connect the accounts using your "Account settings" and then "Connected accounts" on itch-io and not through the link provided above. That might solve it.

Holy shit, I honestly had no idea how to fix this. Itch.io hasn't responded to anything I asked. My solution was just going to be a Python script, Patreon's API, and a mailing list service API. I'm got have to update this post with this information. Thank you so much!

I'm still having this problem, even after linking my Patreon account. I can't access backer builds, even if I click "I already paid for this". Is there a different link I should use?

I'm still having trouble getting the paid version no matter what I try. I'm not sure what's wrong. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Patreon account on Itch, but it didn't work.

Seems even purchasing on itch didn't get me the goodies, can only play the free version. EDIT: Scratch that, the email download link works. Still not showing up in the Itch.io launcher though.

Yeah, I've been struggling to figure out what is going on with Itch.io's patreon integration. There is zero documentation for me to follow.

Can't seem to get access, though it's not on your end - Itch.io is refusing to let me connect my Patreon and Itch.io accounts even through the method that Teddybear above gave :/ Either way, I'll keep supporting ya.

Will you be adding an online play version of your games that does not require any form of downloading? I've tried every work around to open the apps on Apple M1 but nothing seems to be working...

I don't know if Godot supports M1 yet. Supporting Apple has been growing more difficult with each passing year as they lock down their systems. I might be able to test some hacky solutions, but I have my plate quite full already.
