Welcome FERAL Supporter patrons! :>

This post contains a link to the newest FeralIsland STABLE build. STABLE builds will be released every three months and are more stable than nightly_builds. Those builds are also a little preview of the next public release of the game.

This Link gets updated to the latest STABLE_BUILD every 3 months.

Link: Stable_build

(WinRar or 7zip needed to unpack the files.)   (How to unzip .rar archives)

Bug Reporting:

Even though this builds are considered STABLE, this does not mean that they are bug free. It is still considered a pre public release and there are plenty of bugs you might find. But do not hesitate to report bugs you might find directly in this post or on #bug_reports on discord.

Have fun guys and thanks for your support! :>

I’m having a startup/rendering issue with the newer FeralIsland builds. My old build, v0.15.247.CM, launches and works normally on this PC. With the newer v0.16.322.PB build, and also with the current stable build, the game window opens normally and stays responsive, but it never reaches the main menu. It remains on the plain splash/background screen with no menu/UI elements. The application itself does not appear frozen: I can Alt-Tab in and out normally Esc closes the game cleanly the PC remains responsive I also deleted the newly created Unity/AppData cache and tested again, but the behavior stayed the same. I then launched the newer build with logging enabled and also tested with -force-d3d11. In the log, the game successfully reaches: Normal Mode Initialized and then immediately throws: ArgumentException: Kernel 'MainUploadScatterInstances' not found The stack trace points to: GPUResidentDrawer UniversalRenderPipelineAsset.CreatePipeline() After that, the log repeatedly prints: Exception: Blitter is already initialized My GPU is an NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB. The newer builds detect it correctly and initialize Direct3D 11 successfully. So the issue seems to happen after Normal Mode initialization, specifically while the newer Unity/URP render pipeline is being created.

Be nice if there was just a simple FTP link to download this, rather than going through a third party.

I would need to provide security for that though, and that server needs to be online all the time. Using mega is the better solution right now for me. What are the downsides of the third party use? I was reading a bit into a serverless approach for filehosting though. Because I think this would be the most optimal solution.

haha squish

The downside is the slow download speed
