Personally, I associate Christmas with oranges. But hey, both fruits are orange and juicy, so I don't mind having either ^^

I remember this one! Super fun! ^^ I love to eat mandarin oranges, but it’s usually a Summer thing for me so it doesn’t really remind me of Christmas. =p

"shoving cloves into an orange" - Heh, want to try the same now X) Don't know why, may be this is just a habit of my family, but from times of my childhood we buy a lot of mandarins for new year celebration and all flat in this times fills with its smell. So mandarins for me are like an integral part of the winter holidays. Anyway it was just random thoughts^^

Actually Mandarins are like oranges but little^^ But mandarins emits much more strong smell. Anyway you are absolutely right, I also love both fruint ^_^

a quick google tells me that oranges might represent the gold that saint nicholas gave out, i guess that makes sense enjoy your xmas oranges

Summer mandarins? 0_о Looks like this is something other cuz season of Mandarins harvesting starts from November and goes till February^^ This is 100% winter fruit^^ (But it grows in warm countries of course)

Oh, huh. I never knew that! As I kid I was always given mandarins or oranges in the summer, so I've always assumed that's what they were harvested. But then, I live in a country where food is available even when it's not natural for it to be, haha. That's crazy how different it is between cultures. =p
