Apropos your stream lineart layer wrangling, may I suggest book "Hi-Fi Color for Comics" <a href="https://tinyurl.com/y2224nmq" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://tinyurl.com/y2224nmq</a> I've got 2008 version and it's great - step by step photoshop technical advice about how to set up layers, keep everything separate & editable - colour for print, etc. Really helpful.
