Reading about your process was very illuminative. I think without your commentary I would have missed several details like the veins on Bishir's hand for example. Thanks so much for taking the time to write all that down. It's what I would have liked to have from all the 19th century artists I admire.

Ah I'm so glad you find them useful! I find them useful doing them myself as well - when I analyse my own work it makes me more aware of some of the decision making that is going on in my head. This means when I go to paint again I can be more conscious while deciding certain things too!
