Licenses formally began technical development on September 11, 2023. After a brief period of soft releases via patches, Licenses moved to its own page on September 25, 2023. We've since had over 65,700 non-unique downloads globally.
A year of mod development in Skyrim's modding scene isn't typically anything special, especially on LL. But, I've been fortunate enough to have only one primary project of focus, which I also actively play-test unlike most modders.
1.1 through 1.11 represents the bulk of my important contributions to the mod's current structure over the original BM Licenses. From 1.12 till the end of 1.17, I focused on finishing my initial to-do list to make Licenses feature-complete in terms of its basics. Now, with 1.19, we are well into a third cycle.
Here is what's coming up, in no particular order, and with no guarantee of completion:
Re-implement Slot Filtering
Start work on Licenses' Ambient Dialogue add-on
Improve Gold balancing for better Licenses default cost values
Improve integration convenience for other mod authors
Implement additional license loss conditions/events
Separate license enforcement for distinct jurisdictions (ex. per hold or per faction)
Further bug fixes and QOL improvements
At least one of these items depend on further development in a current dependency. Some others would prefer a necessary lull in development so that we can stabilize both audience and creator expectations from Licenses.
For the near term, at least, I have enough time to test a current fix to how we distribute DD restraints. I pushed the relevant commit three days ago. A compiled release should be ready within two weeks.
