First part of the series, scratching the surface a bit. There are also some very nice introductory tutorials in Insydium youtube channel, so take a look there as well. As usual if any questions hit me in the comments below. Enjoy!

hi thanos! when i place the texture into a shader, the image appears multiple times... is it possible to adjust the scale of the image into a shader to fit to emitter size? thanks!!!

motionpunk

hi bud, yea shader has some options, but if u follow step by step what i do u d get same results. Please check project files in that case to see if u have the same issue!

Πάνω που έλεγα να κοιμηθω :P

great vid Thanos, I love your accent by the way - efaristo file mou!

If you guys have a issue with a particles emitting smoke and fire, go to emitter/extend data and initiate the fuel from 0 to 1. Particles size and voxel size ratio is important..

Dhimanth Rao

I wonder if Thanos from the Avengers used Advection to vaporize half the people XD. Great tutorial!

Nacho Velasco

great explanation! not confusing at all. thx!!

Robbie Aitken

curious, will you be showing another video that goes into some of the cloth and hair like examples in the preview vid? is it more or less the same setup?

Goncalo Perdigao

when I add the xplosia tag to my emitter on the second scene I can't see the smoke, is there a parameter that I am missing?

motionpunk

be sure that in extended data, the fuel is >1 and that ur particle radius is sufficient (increase it that is as much as it can fill a single voxel inside).

"Cause you were bitching a lot: ne ne ne ne ne Explosia please." - Thanu, 2020 I'm really cracking with this one. hahahaha

aditya Putra

this is amazing , thank you Thanu

Andrea

yeah... very happy you are using XP instead of TFD!!! The main reason I subscribed here is for XParticles :)

Bjorn Badetti

thanks so much for such amaing videos, very easy to follow and amzing, wish you the best man!

Marcos Devoto

Hey Thanu, I'm just wondering what paramater determines the intensity of dragging the particles because I've tried to advect some particles with the same setup but they barely move, I've tried upscaling the fuel value but it doesnt seem to do any major changes.

motionpunk

heya, ur particle size must be small and not filling a whole voxel. Or u need to exclude the explosia from the particles that drive ur smoke.
