Hey Early Access Patrons,

First of all sorry for the delay on this and episode three going public. My trip home for funeral/Christmas was pretty heavy and while I edited this episode on the road I found it impossible to find a window to properly clear episode three and get all of this prepped. But there shouldn't be any long gaps between the episodes from now on.

In this episode we talk to Aleksander Rostov and some others about the work to create the art style of Disco Elysium, and the work that went into bringing it to life. This one was a lot of fun to put together and has some great moments. Aleksander is a fantastic interviewee and I'm sure that comes across.

Thank you for supporting this work, we hope you're enjoying the series!

Expect a Patron Show / Big 2026 Update video real soon too.

oh my god, I love Rostov so much, I could listen to him talking about art forever... Thanks so much for doing those. I finally joined noclip because of those episodes (even though I wanted to support you guys for some time already). I'm from Czechia and even though I'm a bit younger than the people behind Disco (about 10 years I think) and didn't live through the end of the world (as Rostov puts it), hearing about how the game was made, what the people behind it was thinking and going through just means so much. I think the game and this documentary really communicate something true and meaningful about the historical period this part of the world lived through... (and still does)

Estonian 90s youth is remarkably similar to a Finnish low/lower middle class one. Love seeing the details and descriptions, overall the post-Soviet landscape and mindset is so interesting.

Thank you and never feel sorry for self-care!

Rostov is such a mischievous imp. A great documentary subject!
