You should all have access to the pilot episode of the new /noclip Podcast and we already have interviews and new Game / Film club episodes in the works. The public feed will go live next week but in the meantime we have some democracy to do.

For the next episode of /noclip Podcast's Game Club we're throwing the doors open to our Patrons to vote. This episode's theme is the work of Warren Spector, who recently announced/suggested his retirement from game development.

He has a lot of great games under his belt, but for this vote we're keeping it to five. Before you complain, he didn't work on the version of Thief: Deadly Shadows which came out (which we talked to him about in our Thief documentary years ago) so it ain't here!

So please get your vote in (voting ends in 24 hours) and myself and Tamoor will play it, and discuss it's design and influence in the next episode of Game Club.

Wow. What a video this'll be, regardless of which game get picked

Jonathan Beckham

I don't see a reality where Deus Ex doesn't win... That being said Wing Commander would be super interesting! Also, loved the first episode.

Will Bryceson

Loved the first episode, how long have we got to play the winning game?

yablko

you know i honestly thought, as i was clicking the button, that Epic Mickey was gonna have over 50%

Graham Walker

I'm going for Deus ex as I actually own it on PS4 so could play along

Will Thompson

Where's the "Just do them all in whatever order you want" button. This will be an awesome series!

Mouflon Cloud

as a democracy nerd, i gotta start annoying patreon about single transferrable vote polls or some deliberative practice, because fptp sucks :D (just joking; i’m gonna enjoy the ep anyway, but it would be so cool to get a 120 min pod about Ultima 6 or Epic Mickey)

guccimental

I dont think the original deus ex is on ps4. Maybe you have a sequel?

Erik Sagen

I was torn between SS and Deus Ex but my heart chose the latter.

Graham Walker

Youve worried me there, but I think I'm right. I have Deus Ex: The Conspiracy which seems to be the regional name for the original game. It was shadow dropped last year

Keegan Zykowski

He helped to make some truly incredible games, for that I'll be grateful. Deus Ex is the obvious pick; System Shock a close second

/noclip

i grew up in a proportional representation system but until America gets it I don't think Patreon polls will, sadly :D

Nathan Shepperd

Maybe I’ll actually get myself through Deus Ex after all these years…

Szynek

I like both Deus Ex and System Shock, but IMO they've been talked about to death already, I'd prefer for something else to win (even something that I don't know much about); hence my vote for Wing Commander.

Szynek

Oh, just looked at the results; yeah, that's not gonna work ;)
