Hey Patrons,

It's super early-access time! This videos isn't going public until next Tuesday but we have loads of these videos already complete or close to it, so you're going to be getting them earlier than usual.

In the second video exploring the design of The Outer Worlds, we sit down with the writing team to explore the process of writing NPC's, quest givers and companions. I think this is my favorite of the set actually.

Really interesting doc Danny! I'm in the process of writing myself, and though it's very different from this, I got some interesting ideas out of it! Thank you as always! ;) And if someone's interested, there's a commercial narrative writing tool called articy:draft 3 that looks a lot like their in-house tool, with flow charts and even Unreal Engine integration. I'll post it in the comments on YouTube as well once the final doc is up.

I can see why it wouldn't have fit, but I'm interested if any of the interviews about Parvati touched upon her asexuality? Its a subject still so niche in popular media, but was so lovingly written and represented in this game. It became a real beacon in the community and one of my favourite characters in many years of gaming. The writers should be really proud of that. Great doc, love your work!
