Hello everyone. Today is a bit confusing for me and I would really appreciate your help on this one.

With the public release of v0.2.1 I've gotten a lot of people over on F95 saying that they think the game is basically unplayable because of the grind.

That is confusing me. I feel like I am missing something. There is always something new to do in the game and whenever I play, going out for nothing but food is something I do maybe 3-4 times in total. Every other time is for a quest that get's me further in the story.

So I would really like to get feedback from people that played the entire game. Am I working on this for so long that I just don't see the problem anymore or is the game fine like it is?

I think it is just fine. It does take a bit of thinking to optimize your playing, but I don't really mind it.

It sounds like they just havent progressed far enough, the grind stops being a problem once you can fish or pick greens from the villa. I like how you feel like you're struggeling a bit in the start, because it then feels better once its not a problem any more. And it helps estabelish the feeling of progression imo. You can't please everyone I guess.

The grind is really mild and, fine as it is. It's present enough at the beginning of the game, giving you the feeling of survival, then it become really light as soon as you get the fishing rod. You need to collect mushroom a couple time, maybe pick a canned food a couple time too. Fishing is fine since it actually give you a lot of food at once, meaning you don't have to worry about food anymore for a handful of day. The only other "grind" is that you need to train your stamina a few time too, but it's "rewarded" by character progression, so I didn't find that annoying.

Grind is fine. A little annoying at start, but gets fine after we have fishing and field. Small grindings like that makes it a game and not only a VN.
