Hey guys!

I hope you’ve all played the new update by now. I’ve read your feedback, and thank you so much for all the kind words!

I’m now actively working on Part 5. Right now, I’m coding the in-game phone, which will include character profiles, statistics, and other useful information.

I also completely screwed up the sound in Part 4, a tiny audio clip ended up looping throughout the game. Sorry about that. It’ll be fixed in the next update.

Now the question is: should I start spending more time on sound, or focus entirely on the story and renders? I’m good with images and video, but sound is still new territory for me.

What would you prefer?

In my opinion, you should focus on the main story and not waste time on things you’re not that good at. Maybe over time you’ll find someone for the sound effects, or you’ll improve enough yourself to handle it. At most, you could add sound to the most important events. But I think the first option is the way to go. I couldn’t handle it if the update got delayed because of sound 🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🔥

Scenes supported by sound are also interesting. A scene in which we first hear what our subconscious is already imagining, but is then extended by text, supported by the possibility of adding shadow play, arouses our growing curiosity and anticipation. Therefore, the second option is a good compromise.

For me background sound/music adds to the scene if it's chosen well and compliments the mood of the scene. Beyond that additional sounds can be good or bad. I've seen/heard both.
