July Thoughts (Patreon)

Hi! There's a whole lot more of you now, wow.

Welcome to the monthly newsletter! The goal is always for me to put out the monthly newsletter and Patreon exclusive longform content on the last week of the month. Sorry that didn't happen last month, the "witnessing a dude get shot directly in front of me" thing threw me through a pretty spectacular hoop. So very genuine apologies about that.

But life continues on, and the world continues to spin. Which, ultimately, is for the best.

It was months like last month that make me endlessly grateful that I have a day job, because I really don't know if I'd have gotten out of bed for a solid week if I didn't need to go to work. That said, I'm halfway to my Patreon "Once I hit this number and maintain it for three months I get to quit my day job" goal, which is CRAZY. Thank you guys. I'm never going to be able to properly articulate my gratitude to y'all. I'm so excited about how much I'm able to donate monthly to Mermaids UK, though I'm also looking at diversifying that portfolio a bit with a few other charities that have been recommended to me as well. My goals for charities and programs to support are:

They are based in the UK

They support and uplift the trans community, specifically trans youth

The money goes directly towards initiatives and programming for the trans community, not larger funds of which the trans community is one of many groups they're assisting. Those groups are great, but that's not the goal I specifically have in mind.

If you have other organizations you'd like me to look into, let me know! I (as always) intend to be fully transparent as to where the money is going.

While I originally had a different beat in mind as the season one finale for Lordship Crisis, I think we've actually passed the ideal point for a season one into season two flip. With Sirius now at Hogwarts and the investigation beginning, I think I'm going to consider everything prior "Season One" and release it all as a singular video here on Patreon. That'll happen this week.

I'm also intending an Unwilling Ascension week here shortly in order to 1. Honor last week's poll and 2. Get a similar singular video up on here.

A poll will go live this week to see what you would like this month's exclusive video to be. The high level video is nearly done and oh my LORD I'm so sorry about the genuine stupidity of it in advance but I giggled like a madman the entire time I made it.

Dashcon 2 is also coming up shortly! I'll be hosting a panel called "From Shitpost to Screenplay: Writing Goncharov" In which I break down how I wrote an entire feature length film from a bunch of fake meta analysis of a movie that didn't previously exist. There are still tickets available for the VirtualDash livestream if you want to watch!

Lastly, don't forget we have a discord server! Please feel free to DM me if you didn't receive the server invite and would like to join.

Anyways, I love you all dearly, and I'm excited for the month to come!

Love always,

AK
