Idk if Chris is meant to be half blood camp alumnist or a minor god hiding among mortals but I personally really like the former for thematic reasons. Percy literally starts the book with hey this sucks actually and if you think you might be like me get out now while you still can and this series takes that even further where whatever semblance of normalcy he managed to find at camp is threatened by this ascension, and on the complete opposite end there's Chris. A demigod who's managed to not only survive this long but seemingly, get out. Go live a normal life. I think that's really cool
