July recap and August update! (Patreon)

Hiya! We're already in August, how did this happen? I hope everyone had a great July, mine was pretty good! I hit 300 followers here recently which is very exciting for me. The more of you there are, the more support support there is for my modding, which I appreciate more than I can say! Thank you all for being here in whatever capacity you're able, truly.
Let's move on to the recap! This last month I released 24 hairs and my first clothing mod! I'm enjoying clothing modding (not so much that I'll be a cool modder making things from scratch please don't expect anything crazy like that from me) so I'll definitely be leaning more into that but I'll be trying to do more accessories, too! I also added my old hair packs #2 and #3 to my Sweet Pickles sub tier.
Paid Hair Pack #11 / Hair Pack #12 / Hair Pack #13
Free Hairs 21-22 / 23-24 / 25-26 / 27-28
Sweet Pickles M04 Mods
Onto August! This month I've already mostly finished the hair and I'm debating adding a second hair if I can figure out the textures for it. If I'm not happy with the textures, I'll push the hair for another month. Below, the left hair is one I'm almost done with, it's got cute little vines and flowers running through the braids with a little bow at the end. The hair on the right is the difficult one. The mesh isn't separated into distinct hair-shaped sections outside of the front half of the hair which means I have to figure out how to adjust the main texture to not look so blocky or low quality. I've done a few tests with the texture I was able to pull from the game rip but it's not a good enough quality texture so I've tried to basically draw one myself on ProCreate but it's been a challenge. Hopefully I can make a texture I'm happy with.
I'm not entirely settled on which mod to pair with the hair(s) so I've been working on a couple clothing mods. I also bought some 3d models of nails recently so I was thinking of making those as accessories. I'm big into nail art irl so these were absolutely necessary to try and bring into HS2. Adjusting the nails to the hands of the HS2 base model is going to be annoying but it'll be so worth it (I hope).
Aside from my regular modding, I actually got my first commission from a friend for a set of armor! I've been asked about commissions before but it always felt like too daunting a task and something I didn't really want to do unless I got really good at modding (not to mention the entire process of being commissioned is enough to make me want to puke from the stress). With a friend asking, I was more comfortable tentatively accepting because there wasn't the pressure from someone who could undervalue my work/ask for too much/not pay and if I accepted but ended up not being able to make the mod at all, then no harm no foul. It all turned out well though (after hours of trying to watch Substance painter videos and falling asleep) and I may be putting the mod in my shop soon!
Okay I think that just about sums up last month and what I'm aiming to get done this month! Please look forward to everything coming out in August! Thanks for reading through all this if you're still here :) Byeeeee!
