August recap and September update! (Patreon)

Hiya! I'm here with August's recap and September's update! It's been hot as balls where I am and it's been awful, but I had some time off with family so it was overall a good month! I hope everyone is doing well!

Onto the recap: I had less time for modding this past month due to the time off but still managed 19 hairs, 2 tops and a pair of shorts. Wow amazing Pickle you're the best wooooah!!!! I also dropped hair pack #4 to my Sweet Pickles sub tier (sorry number 5 was already free!). I'd meant to be doing more accessories yet once again I found myself doing more clothes even though it gives me great psychic damage to have to figure out Blender and Unity. If I die, it was definitely because of weightpainting clothes, don't let big Blender tell you otherwise.

Onto September! I said I was going to push the hair from last month to this month if it took me a while to figure out the textures, but I still haven't done that, please forgive me. I wanted to release my September mods earlier this month since last month I pushed it a bit later than I would've preferred due to IRL stuff so I do plan on having September's mods out by like the 7th or 8th this month since I'm mostly done with them, which meant I wasn't going to take too much time to try and make a texture for that hair for this month and also the hair just didn't fit the clothing mod I had planned for this month which is BASKETBALL SHORTS!! I hope that makes up for not having the big Mother Gothel hair (October's hair perhaps? Don't hold me to it, I hate being held accountable).

These shorts were initially supposed to be another bonus mod for August but then weightpainting had me in a chokehold and Cure my best friend my worst enemy suggested (or maybe I suggested it, we're not in agreement over whose idea it was) the shorts that were originally only for male characters to also be made for female characters and I was like very intriguing yes this is an idea!!! So scope creep crept and August turned to September before I knew it. I'm still not 100% done with the mod yet as I still want to sort out the body masking so there isn't so much clipping, but feast your eyes on a simple pair of basketball shorts!!!

This month's mods are featuring Wake and Sasha, the MC and one of the LIs from Love by the Water and the theme ended up being a sort of sleepover type thing where she doesn't have pajamas but she CAN wear a pair of his shorts. The hair is also in the preview on Sasha and it's a shorter slightly messier type of hair which I thought worked pretty well with the theme! Please look forward to this release!!

Last month I said I would release some nail mods and I still fully plan on doing that but I started and restarted and restarted and then restarted again trying to finagle the nail meshes to fit onto the HS2 base hands and it wasn't looking great. Each restart always comes with lessons learned though so please pray for me to have a lightbulb moment or even just a brute force powering through of the modeling in Blender so I can release them because i really want them in the game TT^TT I also still have yet to put the set of armor that I posted about in last month's update in my shop because I'm hoping to do a little more weightpainting tweaking and now that I figured out how to get alpha masking working, I can ensure no clipping happens during more exaggerated body movements which I figure is the norm for a character using armor, right? It'll be in the shop one day I swear!
