Isn’t this show beautiful? I’m so glad it resonated with you as much as it did with me. I think this finale is one of the best finales i’ve ever seen. It gave me literally everything I could have asked for. All the little moments between characters gave such beautiful conclusions - rosh and ayub talking about closure was really fitting, it did feel like closure for me. (But also, if you want more of the characters or the universe, fanfiction is always an option 😉) And the lyrics to simon’s song were so hard hitting. “It shouldn’t be a revolution to love another.” When this season aired, they released eps 1-5 all together, and then ep 6 one week later… so i had to suffer through the break up ending of ep 5 for a week after binging the whole thing in one day… and literally until wilhelm was in the car with his parents and got that look in his eye, I genuinely thought they were gonna end the show with them being broken up. The last shot of wille looking into the camera, finally at peace and content… ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ V v excited to watch the documentary with you next week! Everyone involved poured so much love into this show, it’s really touching. And fun fact, wille’s actor and stella’s actress (felice’s friend, the blonde lesbian character) got together and started dating after meeting on this show! Really really cool <3

you're not greedy for wanting more, because even though i agree with you that this is a perfect finale, in my opinion if a series is spent on the two characters fighting for their relationship and happiness, i personally wouldn't want it to just immediately end the moment they're confirmed to get together. we need at LEAST one extra episode to see the aftermath of the finale, and get a peaceful episode of them just together stress and anxiety free, like this whole show i feel like i've been holding my breath every episode waiting for the shoe to drop, i would've liked a chill bonus ep icl 💀

This is an outstanding piece of TV and in my view takes the crown (excuse the pun) for the greatest LGBTQ TV drama so far in the history of television. A bold statement? Certainly, but I do believe it deserves that accolade. There are many emotional scenes in the final episode, but none more so than the reconciliation between Wilhelm and August at the final party (@ 24:00). When I first saw that I bawled my eyes out as it was so powerful. A box of tissues was so neccessary at that moment. The acting is superb by all the protagonists and I love your review here. This show will be seen by new audiences in the years to come and will have the same emotions that we have experienced throughout. Thanks.

Such a good reaction of the whole series, I’ve absolutely loved watching it through your eyes, but everything time I see tears in your eyes it sets me off blubbing 😭😂. Has anyone mentioned ‘Heartbreak High’ an Australian series set in High school, with a mix of humour and Drama and great LGBTQ representation

I truly thought they were going to end the show with them not getting back together as well! And I didn't HATE that idea but I was also in the mindset of they've been through so much, they deserve to end up together when they so clearly want it. I love your appreciation for the show. Until HR, it was my absolute favorite show in every way, and it will always be special. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much and how you brought a different pov to some of the characters, especially August. It took me a lot of rewatches and Reddit conversations before I could fully appreciate his arc.

Oh so very greedy that I tried to live in denial for as long as I could to avoid saying it was really over. Knew it would make me ugly cry all over the place no matter which way they went with it so had to wait for a late nite where I could wallow in the mellow drama of it all awhile. 🤧 And of course your reaction just makes everything hit that much harder so you will have to excuse the wet spots I leave behind on your shoulder 🫶😭 Thanks for hooking me on another lovely ride and that extra long pause in the start count down gave me a little shiver, you are getting too good at this 💕 Got pretty much all the hugs & reconciliations I was hoping for with Wilhelm and August’s hitting the hardest for me. Wanted a touch more with August & Sara or at least a better sense that August really was going to be able to handle it all ok, feels like we asking a lot of that damaged boy too soon a man now. 🫣 And of course that promised song from Simon hurt in all the best ways. 💞 Was good to see him mature enough to understand what he needed to do but damn this show really like to draw your suffering out to the very last second. Takes a toll and I can only handle so much longing at a time having already spent 6+hrs this week in an AU HR podfic purgatory of emotional chaos with Ilya and Shane trying to break up over and over . . . some of the fanfic creators just really don’t want you to have too long a moment of bliss before they dig in and have twist it. So now I drawing that one out too so I whimper longer and let the torment linger & terrified to keep going in case a dead dove appears. 😓
