So exited for season 2! And yes, do read "The long game", it's so good :) and in case you want to check out more of the series, I'd recommend reading "Role model" as well. (As far as Jacob teased it, some of that story line is going to be adapted as well. Which makes sense, because some of the time line overlaps with that of "The long game".)

Oh I hadn’t seen this interview before, this was so good! He’s so likeable to me. I love his blend of very deep, intentional, precise thinking and impatient/“whatever” casualness (idk how to word that, but it’s so fascinating and cool to me!) When he said people are attracted to the joyfulness of the show, I fully agree, AND want to add that it’s so nice to finally have something authentic and earnest that the crew and everyone involved takes seriously. This age of post-ironic apathy can be really tiring, it’s so refreshing to see something genuine, earnest, kind, thoughtful, and, like he said, joyful.

From what I can tell from the info floating around, Season 2 will draw upon the books 'Tough Guy' and 'Role Model', as well as 'The Long Game'. So, we'll have 2 new couples in the mix... and I also noticed he said 'shooting it like a 10 hour movie'... so is that a hint that the season will be 10 episodes?? I hope so :)

Personally, I found Game Changers to be among the least interesting of the bunch with HR and TLG being my favourites, but maybe I'm just too Hollanov-focused. I just love their chemistry and their story the most. :)

Love Jacob! One reason they go three days without seeing the boys is because they were so busy with other obligations (filming, award shows etc) and another reason is how much behind the scenes work went into especially the Russian of it all.
