I am pretty sure yaga was filmed at the beginning of this year, I remember hearing that Hudson went to NYC to support Connor at SNL in February when he was still shooting yaga. So he's definitely even more buff now lmao

Oh this is gonna be so fun to explore with you as it drops. 🥰 The mythology is super interestingtoo. You recognize Carrie-Ann Moss from the Matrix amoung many other things, recently the Acolyte. Was filmed in Victoria just across the water from me and when I was up there in March everyone was so giddy with their Hudson stories on top of Heated Rivalry still being a huge topic of discussion, they are very proud of their local boy even tho Vancouver is his home and he whined about their party scene being a bit stuffy 😛

Such a good show so far! Watched a couple of times. 2nd watch was even better than the first because I picked up so much more. Dialogue is great.. chemistry is really good between Carson and Rapp (he's a PI, so not bound by the same code as Carson). I think that all of these characters are intriguing. Rapp interests me a lot, he's says and does some pretty inflamatory things but Im not sold on it being his true character just yet.

I've already watched the first two eps, but more than glad to watch along with you again. Something was said in this episode, that I think gets contradicted in the next ep., so I'll have to keep an ear out for that when I watch, and if I'm remembering right, I'll bring it up in those comments. First and foremost, I don't like Rapp. I know his character is set up to be suspicious, but he just is playing too fast and loose with what he insists is a serious situation. I don't hold the flirting or hooking up against him, but I just don't like his glibness. More about that in the next ep. I don't think that Carson was upset because she was interested in him, more like exasperated that he can't not flirt with everyone. Oh, I will note that Pam (Henry's ex.) used the word 'people' not girls when describing Henry's cheating. May mean nothing, but as I'm already suspicious of Rapp's motives, so I'll wait and see. All in all this was a great start to a mystery. Hudson was great for the short time he was in the ep., and though he was the lure that caught my attention, the show itself is reeling me in. On to the next!

Something I noticed while rewatching 👀 Pause on Rapp's phone when he's flirting at the bar. The first text he receives from Carson telling him she had to run was at 8h11 PM. The woman he's flirting with tells him "you just seem very distracted" as she starts to leave, immediately he receives the text from Angel saying her shift is over, but now it's 9h41 PM ... so exactly an hour and a half passed in the seconds it took to call him distracted. This show is gonna be GOOD good with details holy shit

I agree with you on the not sold on it being his true character yet, but there is definitely something deeper in regard to his relationship with this family other than him just having worked with them for a long time. I'm very excited for that revelation! All of the characters are adding something to the story which is making it so rich in development!!

I like your take on Carson not being romantically interested, just disappointed overall! I feel like we definitely have more to learn about Rapp but some of his actions so far, especially as a detective are WACK!!!!

Loved your reaction video! As a fan of the original stage play, I’m so hyped to see how this TV adaptation expands the story with Kat Sandler’s signature dark humor, campy elements, and complex, morally ambiguous characters. Rapp isn't a standard protagonist; he is an antihero and an entirely unreliable narrator, trapping the audience in his point of view where he constantly morphs his behavior and says exactly what he thinks a woman wants to hear just to get what he wants or at least that is what he thinks and where you can see some toxic masculinity going on there. The initial clash between Rapp and Carson isn't just standard procedural friction, but a deeper exploration of male entitlement, feminism, and institutional skepticism. Plus, making Logan Henry's doppelgänger roommate is a brilliant addition to the story that blows up the suspect list while playing with a rich mouse, poor mouse dynamic, tying into themes of wealth and power dynamics. It's such a cool modern reimagining of the ancient Slavic folklore of Baba Yaga, right down to the gritty 70s/90s aesthetic and an unpredictable narrative that mimics the vapor trail plot of a fairy tale. Kat loves to lean on theatrical aspects and chaotic narrative shifts to keep us all on our toes. Since she changed things up and promised plenty of subtle clues and unexpected twists, it's going to be so much fun watching your reactions as this destabilizing mystery unfolds!
