Update Blog - 3/23/24 (Patreon)

So I went through A LOT last weekend that kind of derailed me. I thought I was going to do a bit more work to get ahead with Part 9 of Animation Lookback: The Muppets, but then I suddenly got Gastroenteritis, and it was a bad time that really messed with my plans. The good news is that I was able to recover from that quite quickly and now I'm feeling fine and back to doing my regular things, but still sucked that I had that inconvenience that made me push back my plans. Anyways, now that I got over that, here's what happened now that I'm better.

• Released the new AniMat Watches of Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate: I originally had no plans to do anything with this movie. I personally would rather spend the time to focus on making the last part of AL: The Muppets instead of looking into something that everyone knows is terrible. However, after receiving a bunch of requests to make a video about it and I need something to help give my YouTube channel a boost, I decided to go and make a quick AniMat Watches to have that over with sooner. I'll give it that it did come with some benefits like now I brought my series back to watching some bad animations and I bought myself some extra time to create the final part. The bad news is that now I've seen it and it's been so long that I've been upset over watching a bad animated movie like this. I can honestly say that I'd easily place this among the worst animated sequels next to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 and Tentacolino. I can only hope that this will catch some attention because, if this ends up with the same results as the last few AniMat Watches, then I'll be quite bitter over the fact that I wasted some of my efforts over a movie I never wanted to watch in the first place.

• Editing the Final Part of Animation Lookback: The Muppets: In the last blog, I said I was going to do a bit more work by doing the rest of the filming and then put all my focus onto the editing. That, admittedly, was before I got sick and life decided to pull a prank on me to say "LOL, what weekend plans?" So, after recovering from that mess and doing a couple of errands along the way, I finally returned to doing my main goal of the week, and that is to finish this series. Of course, I did eventually finish off the filming I wanted to do before, but I will admit that the sickness did set me back a little bit to where I still need some time to have this done. As you're reading this, I am NOT sick, but currently in the editing process to put everything together. Keep in mind thought that I will be focusing on making this the best that it can be, so I will be inspecting every detail so that everything comes out great. All I can say is that, at this point, I'm really liking how it's shaping up!

And that was my week of starting at rock bottom and climbing my way up from there. I will say that I'm glad that random burst of sickness is over and I can go back to continuing the last part of AL: The Muppets. How much more I have left to do, I cannot fully say for sure, but I can estimate that there is a chance that, if I don't have anything else to do at that time, I'll finish the video next week. Will that actually happen? We'll have to find out when that time comes. So, until next time...
