I think big videos are becoming a bit more common with me, especially this week with what I uploaded and what I'm working on. I knew the SpongeBob one was a massive video to put up, since its running time is almost as long as the movies, but even the video that I'm working on now is turning out to be bigger than I anticipated. Of course, I'm far from finished, but the good news is that I've been making progress with it and it's getting closer to be in good shape. At the same time, I've also been trying to take care of myself in the meantime and not let my work overwhelm me. It's a balance to maintain, but I've been doing my best to ensure both are doing good as I keep bringing it to life. I'll explain more here.

  • Released my Tier List video of SpongeBob SquarePants Characters Saying F***: It's been a little while since I made one of these Tier List videos, and I figured the timing seems perfect with SpongeBob's 25th anniversary this week. Honestly, with how skinny some of these images were, I thought this would be a quick and simple video to do. However, it was a case where I underestimated myself. Not only were there over 50 characters to analyze and my memory of them and the episodes they're in is still pretty strong, I ended up recording around 100 minutes of footage to make this. As you have seen, I didn't cut a lot, so the video still came out pretty long. That and the editing took time due to looking for the right clips when talking about those characters, which are mainly from the episodes that I'm most familiar with, Seasons 1, 2 and 3. However, this still came out great and I'm happy with how it turned out. It brought back a lot of fun memories of the show and felt like I did a good job giving my thoughts on the characters and their likelihood of saying F***. I know I made a goofy fun video, and I hope people have some goofy fun with it.

  • Working on the next History video:  I'm not gonna lie, this video has so far been intimidating to work with. It's not because of how big this will be. I'm not really freaked out by that at all. Like with the new SpongeBob video, I recorded over 100 minutes of footage that features me in front of the green screen and, while the final running time of this is not confirmed, I wouldn't be surprised if this will go for over an hour. I'm not scared of the amount of work this will take. It's the subject matter that I talk about that makes me feel worried. No, I'm not making some "political" video, this will still be the history of an animated feature, but as I work on it, I keep having these fears of what the reactions will be of this and if what I will talk about and call out will cause some controversy. It has often spiral me into some self-doubt, but I keep pushing to not let this go over my head and remind myself of my goal I want to set out with this video. During the week, I did additional revisions of the script to make sure it's perfect, as well as doing all the filming for it. I'm currently in the editing phase where I'm putting this all together, so I am getting closer to have this become real. However, there's still a lot more work to be done and I'll do everything I can to make this be its absolute best before it is time to release this special video.

And that's been my week still working on this big video. Considering the progress I've made on it so far, I think I'll just need one more week of working on this and then the video should be all set. Even with my doubts and fears, I know I'm doing something great with this and I can't wait to see this in completion. I'm sure by the end of this, I'll have my full confidence back. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Interesting to hear your next history video will be about the same length as your recent video. You really do have a LOT to talk about the production history of your subject and addressing the controversies surrounding it. Definitely give yourself some breaks in between and even take a week off once you’ve completed it.
