As we are in the middle of all the big news coming out of Disney with Disney+ Day and the D23 Expo, I do have some small news of my own that I'm gonna share. They're not as big or mind-blowing as the ones we're hearing from Disney, of course, but this is just a small heads up of what I've been up to this past week and a little hint of what's coming up with my videos.

- Released my review of Madagascar: This movie was hilarious then and it's still hilarious now. Ever since I picked this out of the animation hat, I was excited to revisit this one and to see how most of the movie still holds up to this day was such a delight. It's one of those cases where I sometimes forget that I'm even reviewing the movie and I'm just enjoying everything that it has to offer. I also wanted to emphasis how this doesn't get enough credit as an animation game changer. Yes, many nowadays consider this a nostalgic favorite, but it's not often mentioned how this is the first to really explore the cartoony realm for mainstream CG animated films, and did it pretty well, may I add. This is when being a reviewer is a lot of fun, where I can to watch something that I've always enjoyed and then make a discussion of why it brings me joy, making the creation of this review a highly enjoyable experience. Thankfully, this fun will continue with the next one, as the next review shall be Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Been a while since I've seen this one, honestly, but I have nothing but great memories of it, so I can't wait to jump into this one as well.

- Watching episodes of the next Series Review: Admittedly, working around my time this week was a little tough, especially with other project suddenly coming up and having my personal life with family and friends. The most in terms of work that I've done is watching episodes of the next Series Review. I might've mentioned this before, but this is a pretty big series with 50 episodes I have to watch. I wished that I was able to simultaneously work on other projects at the same time, but time has not really been on my side lately. So, the best I can do is get through most of the episodes that I can. The good news is that I've already done a big chunk of it done. I'm more than halfway finished and I just need one more week to go through the rest before getting into the review itself. But before that, I'll take a small break on the show before I go back to finish the job.

- Currently working on my review of Pinocchio (2022): As we are in the middle of all the big Disney celebrations, it is only fitting that I'm currently at work on a project that fully defines what is Disney...or at least the live-action remake of it. I won't hide that I'm not all that excited for this one and the trailer don't deliver that much promise, even with that epic rendition of When You Wish Upon A Star. However, at the very least, this will make a pretty solid review and I already got some good and fun ideas of what I can do. As much as I'll have to pay attention to everything that's going on with the Disney news for the podcast on Monday, I'll be working hard to deliver a memorable review coming next week.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Tuesday the 13th, and Thursday the 15th and both at 2pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat.

So that's it with this week's work, which funny enough, a lot of it consists of binging XD However, I got a feeling that, after Pinocchio, that's when the true work will begin and I'll be ready to really get my critic side on after all those episodes and maybe more. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

“Madagascar” AND “Horton Hears a Who!” are among the earliest examples of computer-animated films that (almost) naturally mesh cartoony physics and designs with 3D models and environments well.

Honestly can't wait, especially since I'm the one who requested it. All to say this is all coincidental 1. It's a movie release in 2005 2. It's the 2nd time i've request an Aardman film and 3. On the Halloween season in which I took advantage of. Other things in mind, some Disney projects are kinda exciting, other seem controversial and Just to state for the recent Pinocchio film it's.... Okay. Certain not like the original classic But still better then others like Dumbo.

Glad you had a fun time reviewing Madagascar and I can see your point how it doesn’t get enough credit for being an animated milestone in using the cartoony squash and stretch style that most animated films from the last decade utilized. I’m excited for your review of Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit as that was my first introduction to Wallace and Gromit.
