I’m not gonna lie, I am actually extremely jealous that you not only managed to see this movie early, but also got the opportunity to watch it on the big screen. I unfortunately haven’t seen the movie yet and have to wait until Friday when it comes out on Netflix, but I think it’s safe to say this is objectively the best Pinocchio adaptation we got in 2022 by a long shot, and especially since this movie could almost be considered on par with the Disney animated film, that would actually make for an interesting debut, which Pinocchio adaptation is better, the Disney animated film orDel Toro's film. And I think it’s safe to say that this is already guaranteed to be your #1 best animated film of 2022 without a doubt and it’s definitely gonna be a strong contender for award season. Overall, I’m really happy that this movie did manage to live up to the hype and I can’t to watch it when it comes out on Friday.

Oh yeah this is easily the best version of Pinocchio we got this year and possibly the best animated film of this year. Much like AniMat, I actually managed to see this movie on the big screen when one of my local theaters was playing this movie in theaters. Therefore I managed to watch this movie twice. One was on Friday and two days later on Sunday evening when I decided to bring my best friend over to see it who happens to be a Guillermo del Toro fan and he loved it as well. By the way, this is my first time watching a stop motion animated film in theaters since Missing Link back in 2019 so there a bonus to this. For me, I do love this movie as well thanks to it great story and the new take as well, on top of strong writing, splendid direction from del Toro, charming characters, top notch voice acting, beautiful animation, lovely score from Alexandre Desplat, amazing visuals, care crafted production design, interesting themes such as life and death, and great of amount of heart that was put into this too. And my much like what Mat says, the biggest issue with me are the songs as they’re not that memorable. They are solid for sure, but they’re not memorable and it sometimes make me believe that the movie could’ve been better off without the songs. I only remember “Ciao Papa” when I came back out from theaters and that it. Other than the songs, the rest are absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait for you guys to watch it on Netflix this this Friday or whenever you have the time to watch for yourself. If there were a movie to added to some of my favorite movies of 2022, it would have to be this film in particular. Go watch it guys!

I wonder if this will win for best animated feature at the Oscars.
