Update Blog - 5/20/23 (Patreon)

This turned out to be quite a different week. MY acting career got a bit of a boost where several auditions and jobs had to call for my attention and all conveniently compact in this one week. On top of other errands to take care of, it did not give me a lot of time to work on my own projects, so any of the upcoming big ones had to be put on hold in the meantime. The most work I've done is some smaller things and handling Patreon rewards for the bigger tiers like artwork and this month's chat. Other than that, here was part of my week with my videos.

- Released my Update on my Blu-ray & DVD Collection: This was honestly one of my personal biggest projects of this year. Not in terms of creating a major video, but making the first big renovation within the room in years. It was something I've been contemplating for months to do and the process of getting the materials for it was a gradual low priority. In fact, the part where I filmed myself in Ikea was back in February and got the bigger shelf in March. It was only a matter of finding the time to finally take action and do the building and changing, which I knew that it would be after my trip to Walt Disney World. So, when the time came, I used the same mentality of what I did on the Disney World vlog and turn it into a part furniture adventure where it's a whole presentation of not just the collection itself, but also the setup for it. For me, this was like a big spring cleaning where it was my chance to do some big changes to something that's common in my life, and encouraged me to do even more renovations around the rest of the room. I'm glad people got engaged to see me go through the whole process of building everything, but I'm especially glad that I made those changes to both give me more room and to help update my lifestyle as well.

- Created my review of The Muppets Mayhem: I was often asked if I would at least make a video about the series and do some kind of review. I can confirm now that, yes, I got plans with this show. Last week, around the time of its release, I did spend a day to binge through the whole show and take notes about how I felt during the whole thing. I won't say my thoughts immediately, but I will say this was a fun and sometimes trippy experience to see this kind of Muppet spin-off. Also, while this is very much like my recent series reviews where I do it vlog style, this will count as a Muppet Vlog video, since the style technically fits with that series as well. You'll be having an extra dose of Muppets next week where mayhem will indeed be involved.

- Created a couple of Art Commissions: As I had to be out more frequently for auditions, acting gigs, and spending time with friends, I didn't have a whole lot of room to go and plan out a big video or for Part 6 (yet), so the best I could do is take care of my duties on Patreon by delivering some rewards, including the planned chat on Discord and the art commissions. I don't have a whole lot to go and draw (in fact, I only got 2 this month), so I want to take this opportunity to calm myself amidst my busy schedule and get the May rewards done before the big reviewing wave comes starting with The Little Mermaid remake. Funny enough, they both have a theme of eating at a restaurant, so I made the most of trying to match the style of their respective shows that they're from. Been a little while since I've done some drawings, but I must say that these ones came out nice!

So that was just a small part of my week because those were the only video/Patreon things that I've done. I'll definitely have more time next week and maybe get started on something big, but for now, let me get through the little things so that I can store up some energy for the reviews and the next major video ahead of me. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!
