Update Blog - 9/2/23 (Patreon)

As you may have seen in a previous post earlier this week, I'm taking a 2-week break from uploading so that I could catch up on my work from the time I spent healing from my surgery. Yes, I did technically upload an Animation Facts Compilation on YouTube, but I meant more regarding my regular videos. With that said, I made sure that my time is being well spent and that I'm so far doing some good progress where I managed to get one big project done. This will be a weird blog because I won't have a new video to talk about, but here's what I've done this week.

- Editing the next History Video: After working on this for over a month and have a big delay in-between to heal from my surgery, I finally got the next History video mostly complete. I say mostly complete because the only thing that is left is to have a few extra pieces from others so that I can fit them in and then it will be ready to upload. While editing, I was contemplating if I could've talked about another subject that would've been a better fit with what's been happening right now with the writers' and actors' strike, but then I realized that this will still work and the subject can debatably be still considered relevant today. If there would be one more thing to do with the video, it would have to be to check if it's safe to upload it on YouTube and I don't get nagged by YouTube's copyright system. Anyways, after all the work that I put into this, I think this will be worth the wait for you all after the uploading break!

- Started working on Part 7 of Animation Lookback: The Muppets: I know, it sounds a bit much to immediately jump from one big History video to another. In my defence, I did not because I did work on a couple of Tiktok videos in-between to give me a video-making palate cleanser, but I have decided that it is time for me to get back into the next part. As I will be working on the script for this, I will be taking this step-by-step to answer the big question: Will the entirety of Animation Lookback: The Muppets be in 8 or 9 parts (including the Honorable Mention)? I'm not fully sure myself, but I could end up making smaller parts to make the rest of the series more even or this will be one big part so it could finish off the timeline to 2023 (although that already sounds too much for me). We'll see what needs to be done, but at least I know that I got enough energy again to get back into Animation Lookback.

And that's been my week of working and finishing off a big project. Also, it's worth noting that my YouTube channel hit the milestone of having over 150K subscribers! I've been waiting for a while to see that moment happen, but I'm happy that I finally got there. I can see more and more that the support is strong and I could not thank you all enough for it.
