Disney is continuing their annual tradition of making new Wimpy Kid movies and decided to be more festive with Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever. But on this special review, I was expecting to get cabin fever from this, but it turns out that Diary of a Wimpy Kid got a Christmas miracle and might’ve made a…good movie?

fun fact: did you know that during the days of the live action films, they wanted to create a 30 minute animated special based on this book? kinda comes full circle when you think about it

I’ve mentioned before in the reviews of the previous movies that I’m not a huge Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan, outside of seeing first three live action movies, so I don’t really have much interest in watching this, however it is at least to see it is an improvement over the last two movies, so it will be interesting if Disney will continue to release more of these animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies every December, also I really like that rant you did at the beginning of the review, that was great.

I have yet to see that movie given that this is the first time where I don’t have to compare A Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie adaptation to a live action movie since this is the first time where one of the book version like Cabin Fever is now adapted to an animated film only instead live action. From what I’m hearing, it sounds like it is decent and an improvement over the animated version of Rodrick Rules so that is something positive to hear. However, I still don’t think I would be able to check with this movie given that I’m not a big fan of the animated movies of Diary of the Wimpy Kid. If I didn’t watch Rodrick Rules last year, then it likely I won’t watch this one too. At least it not terrible from what I’m hearing as a Wimpy Kid fan myself.
