We definitely had an eventful week going on. Not only we've seen the hype for tomorrow's Super Bowl going on and what commercials and trailers that we may see, but also some of the big Disney news announced like Moana 2 coming later this year, and Bluesky going public where my feed on the app was busier than ever. There was so much going on, yet I'm just doing what I can with getting some work done and taking care of an upcoming Patreon request. So, while those big events were going on, here's what I've been doing on my end.

- Released my review of Orion and the Dark: As the first movie that DreamWorks Animation released on Netflix instead of the big screen, I was honestly surprised how this turned out to be better than the theatrical feature they put out last year. In fact, I'd consider this one of their best movies in recent years that I think can be close to the level of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Yes, the story itself doesn't feel like it was fully planned out while the movie itself was playing, but everything else that it presented turned out great and the heart that it delivers turned out to be much stronger than I expected. I love the relatable psychology of the characters and what they have to go through to conquer their fears, it knows how to be meta within the story, the animation is gorgeous, and it does supply a commentary that goes deeper than you'd expect from a movie like this. It honestly sucks that it didn't get a chance to be shown on the big screen due to original animated features no longer performing well at the box office, because that would be the one thing that would make this better, and maybe be a hit too if the word-of-mouth is strong. I know I'm doing my part to give this the attention it deserves.

- Created the next Series Review: As I'm continuing to take care of more Patreon business, I'm now getting into some bigger projects than art commissions with a couple requests. The first one that was the main thing I did this week was a new Series Review. It's been a while since I've done one of these, especially when talking about an anime. Without immediately saying what it is, it's one that I've honestly never heard of before, but from watching it, it's...an interesting case, but I won't say now if that's a good or a bad thing. It's just interesting how it established one concept, and then goes into a completely different direction to become a whole new anime. At the very least, it does give me a whole lot to discuss in the review itself. I'll have this out some time this month where there will be a double-video week, but now the only thing I have to do is figure out where would be a good place to release it.

- Started working on the next AniMat's Classic Review: Before I get into the other Patreon request, I decided to take care of the next ACR so I can have that prepared for next month. Again, I won't reveal what this one will be, but I will say that this may end up becoming a bit of a controversial one. I'm not saying that I have the opposite opinion to what the Internet thinks, but mainly because of the movie's popularity and if it is warranted. I've seen this one before, but it's been a little while since. At least with this review, this will be a chance to see if it deserves the praise that it got or if my thoughts still stand if  it may be overhyped. Don't worry, it won't take long until you know what I"m talking about.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Tuesday the 13th at 8pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat at a different time.

So that's been my week with a special review to work on while navigating through all the crazy hype that's been going on across the Internet. even if it won't be for a month until the next new animated release, I still got some reviews to work on until it will be time when I get into the next big video. Since Valentine's Day is coming up next week, regardless of your relationship status, make sure you give some love to yourself next week. And so, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!
