Just a heads up, this chapter is extra long!

All characters engaged in sexual activity are 18 or older.

My back hits the court as I trip over my own feet, knocking the wind out of me. Darren winces and extends a hand to haul me up to my feet. “Dude, what’s going on with you? You’ve been distracted at practice every day this week.”

I rub the back of my head, the pain sharp, though it’s nothing compared to what my heart is dealing with. It’s been almost a week since I ran out on Kevin, and he’s barely spoken five words to me since then.

I thought he would gloat and be happy that he won the game. I thought he would be relieved that he wouldn’t have to do gay shit with me anymore. Instead, when I tried talking to him on Sunday during breakfast, he just ignored me and talked to our other friends instead. He’s also been avoiding me. Every time we’re alone, he mumbles some excuse and leaves. The exact thing I was afraid of ended up happening anyway.

I don’t know what to do.

Darren gives me an exasperated look. “Does this have something to do with Kevin and that crazy game you guys were playing?”

I let out a puff of air and nod, tears pricking at the corner of my eyes. He sighs and drags me over to one of the metal benches at the edge of the court. Since Kevin wouldn’t talk to me, I had to ask Darren to help me with the extra practice I need so I don’t lose my spot on the team.

When we sit, I stare at the floor hard enough to burn a hole through it. Darren pokes me in the shoulder until I look up at him, and he rolls his eyes at me. “Dude, I’m not great at this therapy shit, so I need you to tell me what the hell happened.”

I choke out a laugh and then give him a rundown of everything: the date, the beach, his room, and then the way I ran like a coward. I tell him everything, including how I feel about Kevin, finally saying the words out loud to someone other than myself. “I love him, Darren. I love Kevin.” I take a breath, trying to steady myself because even though I just admitted something I never thought I would, I still don’t feel any better.

“I think I’ve always loved him,” I say. “I mean, what guy gets jealous of the girl when his best friend starts dating someone new? Each time he got a new girlfriend, I felt like he was abandoning me. And then I would pull him into some stupid dare to bring us together, even if that meant that we got in trouble.”

Darren whistles and scratches his head. “Damn, dude. That’s some really heavy shit.”

I glare at him. “Really? That’s your advice?”

“Uh, no. I was just saying that’s tough…” He sighs dramatically. “Honestly, I think you’re an idiot for not seeing it.”

“Seeing what?”

“That he’s in love with you too, duh. The guy took you on a fucking dream date, and he’s been kissing you nonstop since this game started, and the two of you have been joined together at the hip since you were teenagers. Neither of you may have realized it until now, but you’re both in love with each other.”

Darren’s words land like a slap to my face. There’s no way that Kevin is in love with me. He’s straight! Isn’t he? I think back to all the times he took the blame for me when I did something stupid. I used to do the same thing for him, too. Or how we would talk late into the night and fall asleep together on FaceTime, even though we knew we were going to see each other the next day. Or the way he would just know when I was in a bad mood without me even saying anything.

Holy shit. “I’m an idiot.”

Darren grins at me. “Now we’re getting somewhere. Do you get it now?”

I nod, feeling numb. “Fuck, Darren. I really messed it up, didn’t I?”

He waves a hand dismissively. “Nah, I’m sure if you just talk to him, he’ll come around.”

I jump to my feet and then sit right back down. “What if he doesn’t want to talk to me? I tried talking to him all week, but he keeps ignoring me.”

“Bro, you need to go to him and tell how you feel. Don’t give him the option to run away. Do some grand gesture or something. That’s romantic as fuck.”

I jump back up to my feet and nod. “Right. Grand gesture. I think I can figure something out.” I smile at Darren. “You know, you’re not so bad at therapy stuff.”

He frowns. “Nah. I just read a lot of smut; it’s healthier than watching porn.”

I laugh and wrap him in a hug before dashing out of the arena. I can’t wait any longer. I need to tell Kevin the truth.

###

I couldn’t come up with a grand gesture. At least nothing that didn’t involve me pulling the fire alarm or destroying university property. So I’m just going to wing it instead. Hopefully, that’ll work. I check his location on Find My Friends and see that he’s in his room, so I head there after a quick shower and knock on his door.

After what feels like an eternity, he finally cracks open the door and glares at me. “What do you want?”

Shit. He’s still pissed. “I just want to talk, Kev, please.”

He hesitates for a second and then slams the door in my face. I stare at the door, dumbfounded, and then lose it. I start pounding on the door, hard. “Kevin! Open this door right now! I have a dare for you! Unless you’re too chicken to face me!” The words are just pouring out now, even if they don’t entirely make any sense.

The door flies open, and he drags me inside, shutting it behind us. His room is a mess. There’re fast food wrappers, cups, and beer cans strewn all over the place. Not to mention the giant pile of dirty clothes on the floor. This isn’t like Kevin; he’s always been a bit of a neat freak… “What?” he hisses. “You’re going to get us in trouble with the RA.”

“Uh, I—what the hell happened? It looks like a bomb went off in here.”

He scowls at me, then drops his head. “I haven’t been in the mood to clean up.”

Oh.

I take his hands in mine, holding them until he’s looking me in the eye. “Kevin, I am so sorry about everything.”

He purses his lips into a thin line. “What are you sorry about, Chris? You ended the game, and that’s that. I just haven’t been in the mood to talk. Doesn’t mean you need to apologize.”

I can tell he’s lying. It’s written all over his face. Hell, the evidence is all over the room. I hurt him, and it’s killing me. My heart starts beating faster, the steady beat rising until it feels like it’s going to burst. There’s so much I want to say, but none of the words I come up with feel like they’re enough. So I pull him in for a kiss instead.

Our lips mold to each other like they were made for this, his lips soft and supple against mine. This is right. This is who I’m meant to be kissing for the rest of my life. He pulls away, eyes hesitant. “What… what are you doing?” he breathes.

“I’m doing what I should have done last week instead of running away. I love you, Kevin. I was scared and worried that this was all just part of some game for you and that I would ruin our friendship if I told you the truth. But I was an idiot and couldn’t see what you were trying to tell me.”

“What did you say?” he asks, voice so low I have to strain to hear him.

I smile at him. “I. Love. You. I’m pretty sure I’ve loved you for years, and I’m so sorry that I didn’t say it before now.”

His face is pale, and he just stares at me. God, I hope I didn’t get this wrong. But then his lips are crashing into mine and we’re kissing all over again like we’re starving for it. His hand slips under my t-shirt and rubs against the planes of my back. We pull apart just long enough for me to tug my shirt off, and he quickly does the same to his own before we’re back to devouring each other.

After a moment, he pushes me back onto his bed and pulls down my sweats and underwear, leaving me hard and aching before copying me. He brackets my thighs and rubs our cocks together, the slide of his meat against mine intoxicatingly wonderful. He puts his hands on either side of my head and hovers mere inches away from me, his entire body aligned with mine.

“I love you too, Chris. I have always loved you. From the moment we met, I fell hopelessly in love with you, and I hid it. I hid the truth from you, from myself, from everyone. I convinced myself that you could never want me, that you were straight, so then I started dating girls to try to hide how much I wanted you. And the closer we got, the harder it became, so I focused on competing with you, trying to hide the truth. Until you challenged me to gay chicken.

“It was like all my wishes came true, and I couldn’t stop myself. I could finally touch you and hold you the way I’ve wanted to for years now. And you seemed to like it, so I thought, maybe, just maybe that we could be something real. Until you ran away last week. You hurt me in a way I didn’t know I could be hurt. But I couldn’t blame you either. I thought I had pushed too much, pushed too far.”

I cup his face in my hands and shake my head. “No, baby. Kevin, I… I just got scared and ran. I was too stupid to realize what you were really telling me. I shouldn’t have, and I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”

He leans down and kisses me softly. His body presses down on mine, trapping our hard cocks between us. “Of course I forgive you, Chris.”

We kiss for a while, gently exploring with our hands and mouths, just holding onto each other like we’re afraid that if we let go, the other will disappear. “Kev?”

“Hmm?” He nuzzles his nose against my neck, placing gentle kisses there.

“Will you fuck me?”

He freezes, then pulls back to look at me. “Are you… sure?”

I nod and take his cock in my hand, stroking it until he’s groaning and leaking all over us. He moves between my legs and pushes them back until my hole is exposed to him. The air is cool on my skin, causing me to clench down on nothing; the anticipation getting to me. He gives me this look that’s absolutely ravenous. “Such a beautiful hole,” he mutters, getting closer to the spot only he’s ever touched.

Kevin licks a broad stripe against my entrance, causing me to arch my back up. “Holyfuckingshit,” I babble, “do that again.”

He grins and eats me out like my hole is fucking chocolate cake. Each lick, bite, and probe of his tongue does something to me that I’ll never forget. His tongue pierces through the sensitive ring of muscles, working me open until I’m writhing with pleasure, absolutely destroyed by his mouth.

“Kevin, I need you to fuck me now,” I plead. He reaches over to his nightstand and pulls out a bottle of lube from the drawer. The pop of the cap sends shivers down my spine. “From now on, I’m the only one you get to use that lube with.”

He laughs and kisses me softly. “Trust me, babe. I have no intention of ever doing this with anyone but you again. After applying a generous amount to his large cock, he rubs the head against my entrance, drenching the already wet area. “Ready?”

I nod and grip his sheets in my fists. He holds my waist with one hand, my legs hooked over his shoulders, and pushes in slowly, the head sliding in with some effort. It burns at first, but he stays still for a moment until the stretch starts to feel good. I tell him to keep going, and inch by inch he sinks inside me until he’s buried all the way to the hilt.

“Fuck, you’re so tight.”

I can feel him throbbing inside me, every inch of my insides occupied by the man I love. He moves slowly, pulling back all the way except for the head, and then thrusts back in just as slowly. His crown brushes against my prostate on the way back down, causing me to leak a small puddle onto my stomach.

Sex has never felt this good before.

He increases his pace gradually, thrusting in and out with care while his free hand reaches down and strokes my cock, using my precum as lube. Every inch of my body feels like it’s being touched right now, pleasure radiating through all my extremities.

Then Kevin adjusts the angle, and his cock hits my prostate directly. “Fuck! Right there, that’s the spot!”

“Yeah? You like that?” He holds my hips with both hands to get a better grip and thrusts hard, hitting my special spot over and over again until I’m seeing stars. The pressure builds until I’m exploding, coming hands free on my man’s cock. He doesn’t stop, though. Kevin keeps thrusting, working me through my orgasm and then buries himself deep inside me. He comes with a groan, spilling his seed, marking me as his, filling me deeply.

He collapses on top of me, his cock still buried inside. I feel so full, so warm, so happy. This is what it must feel like to be in heaven. I think I died, and he fucked me straight through the pearly-white gates.

“I love you,” I murmur, kissing his forehead.

He smiles against my chest. “I love you too.”

“Can I say something?”

“Of course,” he says, not bothering to lift his head, too blissed out to even try.

“I have another dare for us.” That gets his attention, and he grins. “I dare us to love each other for the rest of our lives.”

He laughs and kisses me silly. “You’re on, babe, but I have a feeling neither of us is going to lose this one.”

The End.

Thank you all for your support with this story! If you enjoyed this, there's plenty more stories like this to come soon. Also, if you enjoyed the angst of this story, I'm working on a novella that starts off hot and then everything falls apart for our main characters. So stay tuned for that as well!

Hey, great story, gets me hard every time

Noah Riley

Thank you so much! I'm currently writing a much longer story, but I need to have most, if not all of it written first to make sure I don't write myself into a corner or create any plot holes. So stay tuned for that!

Wow! That was an amazing story!

Yay!!! You had me worried after the last chapter but I hoped they'd figure it out and get together. It had to end like this. That's what made it such an awesome story. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
