Long story short GW introduced female custodes and the usual suspect youtube clout goblins who pander to incels tried to make it gamergate 2.0 and ranted about how 'wokeness' was somehow ruining 40k that they pretended to be fans of. Oddly enough none of them seemed to have any miniatures or any idea how to pronounce anything in the universe, even the Adeptus Astartes.
